Course Objectives The aim of this course is to teach basic knowledge of public finance as public expenditures and public revenues.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Define the main concepts of public finance
  • Foresee the various effects of the taxes in economical and social aspect.
  • Foresee the various effects of the public expenditures and public revenues in economical and social aspect.
  • Evaluate the results of execution of public debts and public budget.
  • Summarize the relationship between fiscal issues and political approaches
Course Content The theory of public finance; classification of public incomes according to different criteria; types of public income; tax concept and tax theories; taxation techniques; taxation principles; income, wealth and spending taxes; taxation systems; development and present situation of Turkish tax system; debt policy and debt management.
