Course Objectives To obtain knowledge about the escope of cultural heritage, its protection, promotion and management and to be able to develop ability to solve problems through protection
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • At the end of the course, the student: 1-Learns the scope and legal framework of cultural heritage. 2-Obtains institutional knowledge on how to protect and manage cultural heritage. 3-Aims a critical viewpoint towards applications in cultural heritage management. 4-Develops an ability of comparative assessment about cultural heritage and cultural economy. 5-Learns how to think in a solution-oriented way by forming a relation between architectural heritage, refunctioning and sustainability. 6-Recognizes the latest developments about the use of novel technologies in presentation and demonstration of cultural heritage. 7-Gains knowledge on industrial heritage and its protection.
Course Content Research, preservation, promotion and management of the sources within the scope of cultural heritage; international and national institutions, laws, and resolutions; theoretical and methodical approaches related to the definition and management of cultural heritage; relation between cultural heritage and culture economy-industry
