University Choice Fair - İzmir
The University was present at the fair organized in the province of İzmir on 6-7 December 2018 as part of the University Choice Fair. Sedat Karaçayır, the Corporate Promotion Manager of our university, and Özgür Hasılcı, the promoter attended the booth where the students showed great interest. Also our dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Füsun Terzioğlu gave detailed information about the departments and professions with her presentation.
Our dean said that the health professions are among the professions of the future and added:
“Particularly, nutrition and dietetics department is a very important part of the obesity problem in our country and the world today. In our country, 40-45% of women have obesity problems and this rate is increasing. In developed countries, people do not eat healthy and balanced, personal diet is not determined, because of the fast fooda tendencies people are getting away from healthy eating. In this sense, the nutrition and dietetics section will be truly groundbreaking in the future and will be a guide in the healthy diet of people. At the same time, nursing is one of the occupational groups in Europe with medicine and veterinary medicine. In this sense, the fact that they have the right to free movement in all the countries of Europe, their employment and employment opportunities cause them to make a difference. At the same time, nursing is one of the most important professions that can be needed from the beginning of life to the death. So is the physiotherapy and rehabilitation department. In fact, I think these are the occupations that will make a difference in raising the health of the society, the future of the society so that they will make a difference in students' lives.
