The Students of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Program Ranked Third in International Golden Cap Chefs Competition

The students of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Program, Atilim University managed to rank third in “International Golden Cap Chefs Competition” organized with the participation of 31 universities. Having managed to be in the top rankings in previous competitions, our students represented our university successfully this year, as well.

In the competition, organized in Antalya on 19 January 2017, “Sumac Sour Stuffed Apple” cooked by our team, Aysenaz Donmez, Ozge Izgı and Kubra Koseoglu ranked 3rd among the dishes evaluated by nationally and internationally recognized chiefs.

Our team were awarded with a medal and trophy in the reward ceremony. Thanks to the support of Asst. Prof. Gonca Guzel, Zeki Acikgoz - Chairperson of Turkish Cooks Federation and Executive Chef of Sheraton Hotel, Research Assistant Buğra Erdal, Osman Ozer - General Manager of AZN (Catering Services Company of our University) and his team, our students achieved a remarkable success by ranking in the top three.
