Tourism has been the most rapidly growing sector in the world, creating a wide range of international employment opportunities, particularly for the young generation. Turkey, over the last decade, has witnessed a record breaking annual average growth, making it the most rapidly growing country in the field of tourism. Currently, the tourism sector in Turkey has created employment for over two million people and offers career opportunities for new graduates.

Our Department offers a four-year program on completion of a one-year English Preparatory Program as medium of instruction is English. The first two years of the program include courses in the field of general tourism management, followed by two years of specialization in either Hotel Management or Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, depending on individual interests and career goals. Our Department has agreements with several universities in various countries so that our students can experience exchange programs.

The faculty is well-connected with the sector and our program aims to train creative entrepreneurs and leading hotel managers equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to work in this sector. The program offers a wide variety of courses related to business such as economics, finance, management, human resources, accounting and marketing. It also offers tourism courses that focus on conference tourism, catering, travel agencies, tour operators and sustainable tourism. Our graduates can be employed in many different areas of the tourism sector including national and international hotel companies.

In recent years, Gastronomy has become one of the most popular and attractive business areas in Turkey. Students in the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Program take courses covering food and beverage management, cooking techniques, Turkish cuisine, world cuisine, restaurant management, and pastry and beverage culture. Atilim University has high quality, modern kitchens and restaurants equipped with the latest technology to encourage and develop students' creativity. Graduates from the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Program can work as top chefs in hotels and restaurants or start their own catering business.

Thanks to the cooperation protocol between our Department and Ankara Sheraton Hotel and Convention Centre, a branch of a major international hotel chain, students have the opportunity to do their internship in this hotel and, at the same time, earn money. This can be advantageous for students who graduate from the program.

We would like to encourage, and invite young people who would like to pursue a career in this dynamic sector, to visit us and meet the faculty and staff. We are here to support and guide you through your college years and beyond.

We look forward to welcoming you to our Atılım University campus.
