SoBOT Project
Project Title: Development and implementation of a software platform for personalized and modular social robot design
Project Abstract
The increasing integration of technology into our daily lives, and the demands/needs of society are shifting the use of robots from structured tasks in controlled environments such as factories or research laboratories to more complex settings such as homes and social spaces (schools, hospitals, parks, museums, shopping malls, etc.).
Fully or partially automated social robots are technological systems with social functionality that work for and alongside humans in such environments.
It is predicted that social robots will be increasingly used in different areas of daily life, and that research, development, and design work related to social robots will increase and gain more importance.
The aim of this project is to develop a software platform to enable the design of modular and personalized social robots through user participation. As part of the project, it is also planned to obtain a physical model of a social robot designed using this platform, for technology demonstration purposes.
