The research article titled “Effect of Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Method Selection on Health System Capacity Rankings in OECD Countries” by Lecturer Tevfik Bulut, PhD, has been published in Health Sciences Quarterly.
This study comparatively evaluates the capacities of healthcare systems in OECD countries using Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) methods and presents policymakers with an innovative decision-support framework demonstrating how methodological choices affect resource allocation and performance rankings. In the study, 17 key healthcare system indicators from 37 OECD countries, obtained from the World Bank database, were objectively weighted using the CRITIC and Shannon Entropy methods. Capacity rankings were then calculated using the BSS, TOPSIS, EDAS, and MAIRCA techniques and combined into a final consensus ranking through the Borda count method.
We congratulate him on this valuable scientific contribution and wish him continued success.
