At Atılım University, our goal is to train individuals who possess the universal skills of “accessing information” and “using information” required in the age of information; individuals who are knowledgeable and experienced in their professional fields; inquisitive and dynamic; sensitive to national issues; enjoy teamwork; successful in their professions and the business world; unafraid of competition; closely connected to the international community; embrace our artistic, cultural, and historical values; and sensitive to environmental protection. Atılım University constitutes a public legal entity established in Ankara by the Atılım Foundation on July 15, 1997, subject to the provisions of Law No. 2547 on foundation higher education institutions.

Atılım University is a campus university situated on 250 acres of land in İncek, one of Ankara's newest and rapidly developing modern residential areas. The campus includes faculties, laboratories, conference halls, basketball and volleyball courts, a gym, tennis courts, a fitness center, a swimming pool, a recreation area for outdoor activities, a cafeteria, and restaurants.

The Department of Pilot Training at Atılım University School of Civil Aviation accepts students based on their MF-4 score and offers a four-year undergraduate program in English, including practical flight training. The students who take flight training at ATO may also benefit from these facilities and services.

Our Flight School has welcomed external attendees in addition to the students of our undergraduate degree program as of 2018, and has received the necessary permits and authorizations from the General Directorate of Civil Aviation with its 3 Tecnam P2008JC (TC-UEH, TC-UZY, TC-UEA), 1 Tecnam P2006T (TC-AEE), 1 Tecnam P2010 (TC-ATL) and 1 Tecnam P2010 TDI (TC-AES) aircraft, and its capability to meet the training requirements of LAPL(A), PPL(A), NR and FI(A).
