Dear Students,

With technology developing even between blinks, there continues to be rapid growth and progress in the health sector in the world, and in Türkiye, strengthening the need for qualified health-care personnel in the sector. With the Program in Anesthesia at Atılım University Vocational School of Health Services, we aim to train individuals who are fully equipped to fulfill the responsibilities of preparing patients before surgery in operating rooms, intensive care units and pain clinics at all health-care institutions, as well as preparing them before surgery and performing follow-up practices at intensive care clinics.

The Anesthesia program at Atılım University VCHS is a two-year associate degree program. The training program provides theoretical information on how to approach patients’ conditions, the modern equipment and drugs used in anesthesia, patient monitoring and care in intensive care and pain units, and how to intervene in emergencies, as well as practical training in state-of-the-art laboratories.

Graduates of this program find work at operating rooms and intensive care units in public or private health institutions as “Anesthetic Technicians”.

After completing the program, our students wishing to progress academically have the opportunity to do so with our Undergraduate Degree programs in Emergency Aid and Disaster Management, Nursing, Nursing and Health Services, Health Management, and Social Services by taking the student transfer exam.

I wish a productive education life to our students who aim to become Anesthesia Technicians, who regard helping patients as a source of motivation in their working lives, and those who will join our department in the upcoming academic year.
