“WATER” Themed Avant-Garde Collection by Third-Year Students
Third-year students at our university have prepared an avant-garde collection with the theme of “WATER” in order to draw attention to global water scarcity. This special collection, where different materials are used creatively, aims to raise awareness about the future of water.
During the preparation process of the collection, students transformed various elements such as plastic bags, waste paper, aluminum foils, PET bottles, tulle, fishing nets and natural materials into art. The works, which strongly emphasize the message of water pollution and sustainability, received great interest from the participants.
Our university administration also supported the event. The opening speech of our exhibition, which was opened with our School Board of Trustees Member Ms. Zerlin Zaim and our Rector Prof. Dr. Serkan Eryılmaz, was made by our faculty dean Mr. Ö. Osman Demirbaş. Our guests and professors, who met with the students one-on-one and received information about the collection, shared their evaluations about the project.
This meaningful collection reveals our students' artistic perspective and sense of social responsibility, while giving us all an important message about water conservation.
