Directorate of Sports

Our Badminton Team:

  • Our Atılım University Badminton Team had a successful tournament at the “13th Aslı Tarım and 2nd Yasin Enes Bıyıklı Badminton Tournament” organized by METU on April 22. Our athletes achieved the following results:
  • 1st place in Mixed Doubles
  • 1st place in Women's Singles
  • 2nd place in Men's Doubles
  • 2nd place in Men's Singles
  • At the “20th Angora Cup Badminton Tournament” hosted by Bilkent University on April 24–25, our team achieved another significant success by finishing 2nd overall.

 

 

Our Karate Team:

  • We will compete with our female athlete in the Karate discipline at the "European Universities Combat Sports Championship," which will be held in Warsaw, Poland, from August 21 to 26, 2025.

 

Our Boxing Team:

  • The “Turkish University Boxing Championship” organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation took place in Bayburt between May 21–26, 2025. Our athlete made us proud by securing 3rd place in the Women’s category.

 

Our Fencing Team:

  • At the “UniLeague Fencing Turkey Championship” organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation and hosted by METU between May 4–7, our team made us proud with the following results:
  • 2nd place in Women’s Sabre Team
  • 2nd place in Women’s Foil

 

Our Handball Team:

  • Our team became champions of the Men's Regional Handball League, organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation and held at Konya Selçuk University from December 8–13, 2025, earning the right to compete in the Super League Qualifiers.

Our Beach Handball Team:

  • Our athletes successfully represented our university with their determined and dedicated performances at the University Beach Handball Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation, held in Muğla / Köyceğiz from July 1st to 5th!

 

Our Karate Team:

  • We will compete with our female athlete in the Karate discipline at the "European Universities Combat Sports Championship," which will be held in Warsaw, Poland, from August 21 to 26, 2025.

 

Our Snow Volleyball Teams:

Men’s Snow Volleyball:

  • Atılım University Men’s Snow Volleyball Team successfully represented our university by finishing 4th in their group at the "Snow Volleyball Turkey Championship" organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Erzurum, Palandöken between December 9–16, 2024.

Women’s Snow Volleyball:

  • Our Atılım University Women’s Snow Volleyball Team made us proud once again by becoming champions at the “Snow Volleyball Turkey Championship,” held for the second time from December 9–16, 2024, in Erzurum, Palandöken. They earned the right to participate in the “European University Winter Championship” to be held in Val di Zoldo, Italy, from December 15–18, 2025.

 

Our Kickboxing Team:

At the “Kickboxing Turkey Championship” organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Balıkesir between April 8–11, 2025, our athletes made us proud with the following results:

  • 2nd place in Women’s category
  • 3rd place in Women’s category
  • We will compete with our female athletes in the Kickboxing discipline at the "European Universities Combat Sports Championship," which will be held in Warsaw, Poland, from August 21 to 26, 2025.

 

Our Rowing Team:

  • Our team achieved success in all categories they participated in at the "Turkish Rowing Federation Endurance Turkey Cup" organized by the Turkish Rowing Federation in Fethiye between March 20–24, 2025.

  • 2nd place in the Academic Women C2x category,

  • 2nd place in the Academic Men C2x category,

  • 3rd place in the Academic Mixed C2x category,

  • 3rd place in the Academic Men C1x category.

  • Our school team had a successful tournament at the "Long Distance Coastal Rowing Turkish Championship" organized by the Turkish Rowing Federation in Bursa/Gemlik between April 18–20, 2025. Our tournament results:

  • 1st place in Academic CW2X,

  • 1st place in Academic CM1X,

  • 2nd place in Academic CM2X,

  • 2nd place in Academic CMiX2X,

  • 2nd place in Academic CW1X.

  • At the “Fetih Fest Rowing & Dragon Boat Turkey Championship” organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Istanbul on May 28–29, our athletes had a tournament full of success. The results are as follows:
  • 1st place in Women's Team
  • 1st place in Women’s C4x+ (Coastal Coxed Quadruple Sculls)
  • 2nd place in Men’s C2x (Coastal Double Sculls)
  • 2nd place in Women’s C2x (Coastal Double Sculls)

 

Our Muaythai Team:

  • Participating for the first time in the “Muaythai Turkey Championship” organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Antalya, Kemer from May 3–7, 2025, our university proudly achieved 2nd place in the Women’s category.

 

Our Tennis Teams:

Men’s Tennis:

  • Our team had a successful performance by finishing 2nd at the “20th Angora Cup Tennis Tournament” hosted by Bilkent University from March 22–26, 2025.

Women’s Tennis:

  • Our team also finished 2nd at the “20th Angora Cup Tennis Tournament” hosted by Bilkent University from March 22–26, 2025. In addition, our Women’s Tennis Team achieved great success by finishing 2nd in Turkey at the “Tennis Super League Competitions” held in Çaycuma, Zonguldak from May 11–15, 2025, and earned the right to participate in the “2026 European Universities Games” to be held in Salerno, Italy.

 

Our Volleyball Teams:

Men’s Volleyball:

  • At the "Ankara UniLeague Volleyball Regional Playoff" held at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University from March 10–20, 2025, our team achieved a great success by finishing 3rd in Ankara.

Women’s Volleyball:

  • At the "Ankara UniLeague Volleyball Regional Playoff" held at Middle East Technical University from March 11–21, 2025, our team achieved a remarkable success by finishing 2nd in Ankara.

 

Our Swimming Team:

  • Our Men’s Swimming Team successfully represented our university by finishing 3rd at the 20th Angora Cup Swimming Competitions held by Bilkent University.

 

Our Badminton Team:

  • Our team returned with great success from the regional badminton tournament organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation, held in Burdur from April 1 to 5, 2024. The tournament was attended by 29 universities, and our team advanced from the group stage to rank among the top 16 universities. In the Women’s Singles category, our National Athlete Sude Naz BAYSAL achieved a remarkable performance, finishing 3rd in Turkey among 64 female athletes, making us very proud.
  • Atılım University’s badminton team also participated in the “12th Aslı Tarım and 1st Yasin Enes Bıyıklı Badminton Tournament” organized by METU and secured second place with outstanding performance, attracting attention. In the singles matches, Sude Naz Baysal ranked 1st, and Hüsna Şeker ranked 3rd.
  • The “19th Angora Cup Badminton Tournament” hosted by Bilkent University took place on April 29-30. Our badminton team performed successfully. Among the university teams participating, Atılım University’s team achieved another important success by finishing second.
  • In the first round, our team defeated Bilkent University 5-0 and faced METU in a tough second-round match. Although we lost 3-2, our team was highly praised for their performance.

 

Our Basketball Teams:

Men’s Basketball:

  • The Turkish University Sports Federation hosted the Men’s Basketball Regional League between November 20 and December 5, 2023, at Atılım University Ahlatlıbel Campus Sports Hall, where we were the hosts. Our team finished 2nd in the group and qualified for the Turkish University Sports Federation Men’s Super League Promotion play-off matches.
  • In the play-off matches held in Ankara from March 18 to 28, 2024, our team finished 4th.

Women’s Basketball:

  • The Women’s Basketball Regional League, hosted by Atılım University at the same venue from November 21 to December 4, 2023, saw our team finish 3rd in the group.

 

Our 3x3 Basketball Teams:

Men’s 3x3 Basketball:

  • Our team successfully represented Atılım University at the Ünilig Universities 3x3 Basketball Tournament held at Gazi University between May 6-8, 2023.

Women’s 3x3 Basketball:

  • Our women’s team finished 2nd in their group at the same tournament, having a successful competition.

 

Our Fencing Team:

  • ATILIM UNIVERSITY MAKES A MARK IN FENCING!
  • At the “Ünilig Fencing Turkey Championship” organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation and hosted by METU between May 13-16, Atılım University brought great pride.
  • Women’s Épée Team: Turkish Champions (Aylin ÇAKIR, Zeynep KURT, Hiranur ATEŞ)
  • Individual Women’s Épée: 2nd place - Aylin ÇAKIR
  • Individual Women’s Épée: 3rd place - Zeynep KURT
  • Individual Women’s Foil: 3rd place - Eylül Deniz TÜRKKAN

 

Our Handball Team:

  • Our men’s handball team finished 2nd in Ankara at the Men’s Handball Regional League held between December 20-24, 2023, at METU Sports Hall and qualified for the Super League Promotion Matches.
  • The team represented our university successfully in the promotion matches held in Diyarbakır.

 

Our Beach Handball Team:

  • The “25th Universities Yaşar Sevim Beach Handball Turkey Championship” organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation was held in Muğla/Köyceğiz between July 2-5, 2024. Our team ranked 3rd for the first time in this branch, making us very proud.

 

Our Snow Volleyball Teams:

Men’s Snow Volleyball:

  • Atılım University’s men’s volleyball team represented the university successfully by finishing 4th in their group at the Snow Volleyball Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation from February 9-13, in Erzurum/Palandöken.

Women’s Snow Volleyball:

  • Atılım University’s women’s volleyball team became undefeated Turkish Champions at the same event, winning all sets without dropping any. Despite this being their first participation, they earned the right to compete in the European Championship, making us very proud.

 

Our Karting Team:

  • Our team represented Atılım University successfully at the Universities Ünilig Karting Turkey Championship held at Ankara Karting Track on May 17-18, 2024. However, the races were canceled due to cost-saving measures published in the country.

 

Our Kickboxing Team:

  • Atılım University’s National Athlete Gizem ÖZKAN made us proud by finishing 2nd in the Point Fighting category at the Kickboxing Turkey Championship held in Mersin from February 15-18, 2024. Despite it being our first participation in this branch, Gizem earned the right to attend the European Championship.
  • At the European University Games held between July 9-14, 2024, in Budapest/Miskolc, with 72 countries and 150 athletes participating, Gizem ÖZKAN finished 3rd in Europe, bringing us great pride.

 

American Football Team:

  • Our team participated in the 1st League of the Protected Football (American Football) organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation. On December 16th, Saturday, at Hacettepe Stadium, Atılım University "Rhinos" won against Bilkent University "Judges" with a score of 22-21.
  • On January 20th, Saturday, at Hacettepe Stadium, Atılım University "Rhinos" defeated Başkent University "Knights" with a score of 20-18.
  • On February 19th, Sunday, at Hacettepe Stadium, Atılım University "Rhinos" won against Ankara University "Cats" with a score of 20-8.
  • On February 25th, Sunday, at Kırıkkale Yahşihan Yenişehir Stadium, Atılım University "Rhinos" defeated Kırıkkale University "Gunners" 33-14. Our American Football team finished the group stage undefeated with 4 wins and qualified for the quarterfinals.
  • On May 4th, Saturday, at Hacettepe Stadium, in the quarterfinals, Atılım University "Rhinos" defeated Mersin University "Mersin Mustangs" 16-6 and advanced to the semifinals.
  • On May 26th, Saturday, at Düzce University Stadium, in the semifinals, Atılım University "Rhinos" lost to Düzce University "Panthers" 21-12, advancing to the finals.
  • On June 1st, Saturday, at ITU Stadium, in the final, Süleyman Demirel University "Spartans" defeated Atılım University "Rhinos" 21-12.
  • Our Atılım University American Football team “Rhinos” completed the season as undefeated champions and earned their place in the Super League for next year! Our team made a remarkable impact at the Turkish University Sports Federation’s “Protected Football Ünilig 1st League Turkey Championship” and made us very proud. We congratulate our team and staff and wish success for their upcoming season in the Super League after 13 years.

 

Our Rowing Team:

  • Atılım University hosted the “Intercity Spring Cup and Academy League Championship” rowing races organized by the Turkish Rowing Federation from June 11-13. Our rowing team returned with success:

  • 2nd in “Academy Mix C2X” category

  • 3rd in “Academy Women C4X+” category

  • 3rd in “Academy Men C4X+” category

  • Overall, the team ranked 3rd in Turkey in both men’s and women’s Academy teams, making us very proud. Hosting such a large event with 23 clubs and nearly 500 athletes was a great honor.

 

Our Table Tennis Team:

  • Our team participated in the “19th Angora Cup Table Tennis Tournament” hosted by Bilkent University and finished in 3rd place.

 

Our Indoor Archery Team:

  • Atılım University’s archer Semih Oktay ÖZCAN became the Turkish Champion in the Men’s Compound Bow category at the Indoor Archery Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation from February 18-22, 2024, in Samsun. We congratulate Semih Oktay ÖZCAN, who ranked first among 36 competitors, and wish him continued success.

 

Our Archery Team:

  • Semih Oktay ÖZCAN proudly represented our university by winning the Turkey Championship in the Men’s Compound Bow category in Samsun (February 18-22, 2024).
  • At the Archery Turkey Championship held from May 21-24, 2024, hosted by Eskişehir Technical University with 37 universities and 193 athletes participating, Semih ranked 5th in the Men’s Compound Bow category.

 

Our Squash Team:

  • Atılım University’s first participation in squash has shown great promise for the future.
  • At the “Ünilig Squash Turkey Championship” held on April 28-29, 2024, hosted by Gazi University, our athlete Mahmut Necati Alp HACIOĞLU reached the top 16 among 64 players in the individual branch, having a successful tournament.

  • Our men’s team won the Ankara Regional League Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation at METU between April 16-20, 2024, and earned promotion to the Super League next year, making us proud.

Women’s Tennis:

  • Our women’s team also won the Ankara Regional League Turkey Championship held at Bilkent University and METU on the same dates, and similarly earned promotion to the Super League next year.

 

Our Volleyball Teams:

Men’s Volleyball:

  • Our team finished the Men’s Volleyball Regional League undefeated, topping their group at the event held at Çankaya University between November 27 and December 12, 2023, and qualified for the Turkish University Sports Federation Men’s Super League Promotion play-offs.
  • At the Ankara Regional League Volleyball Play-offs hosted by Bilkent University between April 17-30, 2024, our team placed 4th in Ankara.
  • The team qualified for the Turkey University League Finals “Super League Promotion Matches” held in Diyarbakır from May 9-16, 2024, representing our university successfully.

Women’s Volleyball:

  • Our women’s volleyball team also finished undefeated in their group at the Women’s Volleyball Regional League held at Bilkent University between November 28 and December 11, 2023, qualifying for the Women’s Super League Promotion play-offs.
  • At the Ankara Regional League Volleyball Play-offs between April 17-30, 2024, the team worked hard throughout the year, showing dedication, effort, training, friendly and club matches, discipline, and team spirit to finish 2nd in Ankara.
  • They qualified for the Turkey University League Finals “Super League Promotion Matches” in Diyarbakır (May 9-16, 2024) and represented our university successfully.

 

Our Swimming Team:

  • Our team represented Atılım University successfully at the Ünilig Swimming Turkey Championship held in Ankara between May 6-8, 2024.
  • In the women’s category, our team ranked 7th among 31 universities, and in men’s, 14th among 38 universities. Overall, among 41 universities, our team finished 9th.
  • At the 19th Angora Cup hosted by Bilkent University, our men’s team finished 3rd, with both men’s and women’s teams ranking 3rd overall.

Our Badminton Team:

  • The Badminton Regional Tournament organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation (TÜSF) in Ordu, with participation from 185 athletes representing 27 universities, was completed by our team in 9th place. Atılım University participated for the first time in the women's individual category, where our national athlete Sude Naz Baysal ranked 2nd among 47 players.
  • Between May 8-12, 2023, at the Ünilig Badminton Super League Matches held at Erzincan University, our national athlete Sude Naz Baysal finished 4th in the women’s singles category among 60 players from 8 universities.
  • Our team won the Bilkent University 18th Angora Cup undefeated.
  • At the 11th Aslı Tarım Badminton Tournament organized by METU, our team returned with the following achievements:

  • Team: 2nd place

  • Women’s singles: 1st and 3rd place

  • Mixed doubles: 1st and 2nd place

  • Men’s doubles: 2nd place

 

Our Basketball Teams:

Women’s Basketball:

  • Our team successfully finished 3rd in the group at the Women’s Basketball Regional League organized by TÜSF from November 29 to December 15, 2022, hosted by Atılım University at Ahlatlıbel Campus Sports Hall.
  • The team placed 3rd at Bilkent University’s 17th Ayva Cup held between April 24-30.

Men’s Basketball:

  • Our team finished undefeated as the group leader at the Men’s Basketball Regional League hosted by Atılım University (Nov 29 - Dec 16, 2022) and qualified for the Super League Promotion playoffs.
  • At the TÜSF Men’s Super League Promotion play-offs hosted by Çankaya University, our team successfully finished as Ankara regional runner-up.
  • At the Ünilig Super League Promotion Tournament held at Atılım University (May 5-12), featuring universities from many cities across Turkey, our team finished 4th.
  • At Bilkent University’s 17th Ayva Cup (April 24-30), our team finished 3rd.

 

3x3 Basketball Teams:

Women’s 3x3 Basketball:

  • Our team finished 2nd in their group at the TÜSF Ünilig 3x3 Basketball Tournament.
  • They won the Bilkent University 18th Angora Cup undefeated.
  • In the 2021-2022 season, our team ranked 2nd in the 3x3 Ünilig Turkey Championship and earned the right to compete in the European University Championship to be held in Debrecen, Hungary from July 12-21 this year. This first-ever achievement in our university’s history is a source of pride. We wish our team great success in the European Championship.

Men’s 3x3 Basketball:

  • Our team finished the TÜSF Ünilig 3x3 Basketball group stage with a perfect 5-0 record and won the final in a highly competitive match, completing the tournament undefeated and qualifying for the Turkey Championship.
  • In an Ankara stage of the tournament featuring 22 universities nationwide, only 2 universities qualified for the Turkey 3x3 Basketball Finals, and our team was among them, making our university proud.
  • At the finals held in Istanbul, our team finished 3rd in their group.
  • They also finished 3rd at Bilkent University’s 18th Angora Cup.

 

Our Dragon Boat Team:

  • At the Fetih Sporfest Turkey Championship held by TÜSF on May 29-31 in Istanbul Haliç, our university participated for the first time and proudly finished 2nd in the Mixed Dragon Boat category.

 

Our Fencing Team:

  • At the TÜSF Fencing Turkey Championship held at Ankara University from November 29 to December 16, 2022, our female fencer Eylül Deniz Türkkan ranked 3rd in Women’s Foil.
  • On the first day of the Ünilig Fencing Turkey Championship, our athlete was 3rd in Women’s Foil, while in Men’s Epee with 38 competitors, our athlete ranked 17th. Our female fencer also placed 3rd in Women’s Sabre.

 

Our Handball Team:

  • At the Handball Regional League held by TÜSF between December 19-23, 2022 at Süleyman Demirel University in Isparta, our men’s team finished 3rd in their group with 2 wins and 1 loss among 8 teams.

 

Our Karting Team:

  • At the TÜSF Ünilig Karting Turkey Championship held on December 3, 2022, our university finished 2nd in the 1st stage (Mühye) among 12 universities. In the 2nd stage (Mühye) held May 5-6, 2023, we finished 3rd. Overall, we proudly ranked 2nd in the general standings.

 

Our American Football Team:

In the TÜSF American Football Ünilig 1st League, our team represented the university in the 2022-2023 season among 36 teams and reached the quarter-finals.

 

Our Rowing Team:

At the Fetih Sporfest Turkey Championship organized by TÜSF on May 29-31 in Istanbul Haliç, our university proudly finished 2nd in both the Sea Rowing 2X and Sea Rowing 4X+ categories.

 

Our Table Tennis Team:

At the TÜSF Table Tennis Turkey Championship held May 17-21 hosted by Kırklareli University, our team advanced from the group stage and had a successful tournament.
At Bilkent University’s 18th Angora Cup, our men’s team finished 2nd, and the women’s team finished 3rd.

 

Our Archery Team:

At the TÜSF Archery Turkey Championship held at Eskişehir Technical University from June 12-16, with 42 universities and 122 athletes participating, our university achieved:

  • 2nd place in Men’s Compound Bow

  • 2nd place in Compound Mixed Team

  • 5th place in Men’s Compound Bow

  • 4th place in Classic Bow Team

 

Our Beach Handball Team:

At the TÜSF Beach Handball Turkey Championship held in Köyceğiz between July 3-7, our team represented the university successfully by finishing 4th among 8 teams.

 

Our Beach Volleyball Team:

At the TÜSF Beach Volleyball Turkey Championship held in İzmir from June 20-24, our women’s team advanced to the quarter-finals among 19 teams, and our men’s team ranked among the last 12 teams, representing our university successfully.

 

Our Tennis Team:

Women’s Tennis:

  • Our women’s team finished 4th at the TÜSF Tennis Regional League held at Bilkent University between May 29 and June 3.

Men’s Tennis:

  • Our men’s team finished 3rd at the TÜSF Tennis Regional League held at METU in the same period.
  • At Bilkent University’s 18th Angora Cup, the men’s team finished 3rd and the women’s team 2nd.

 

Our Volleyball Team:

Women’s Volleyball:

  • Our women’s volleyball team finished 2nd at the TÜSF Volleyball Regional League held at the University of Health Sciences between December 6-22, 2022 among 6 teams.

Men’s Volleyball:

  • Our men’s volleyball team finished 3rd at the TÜSF Volleyball Regional League held at METU between December 7-23, 2022 among 5 teams.

 

Our Swimming Team:

  • At the TÜSF Ünilig Swimming Turkey Championship held at Gazi University between May 4-12, our team ranked 7th among 31 universities in women’s and 14th among 38 universities in men’s categories. Overall, among 41 universities, we finished 9th.
  • At Bilkent University’s 18th Angora Cup, our women’s team finished 2nd and men’s team 3rd, achieving 19 individual medals and 6 relay medals, ranking 3rd overall.

Badminton:

Women’s and Men’s Team:

  • Our team participated in the Universities Badminton 2nd League organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Sivas and represented our university successfully. Additionally, they achieved 3rd place in the Angora Cup organized annually by Bilkent University, and 2nd place in the METU Aslı Tarım Badminton Tournament, finishing the season with great success.

 

Basketball:

Women’s Basketball:

  • Our team participated in the Universities Women’s Basketball 1st League tournament held by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Ankara and finished 4th, successfully maintaining their place in the 1st League.

Men’s Basketball:

  • Our team participated in the Universities Men’s Basketball 1st League tournament organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Ankara, finished 3rd, and successfully retained their position in the 1st League.

 

Billiards:

  • Our women’s and men’s teams took part in the Billiards Turkey Championship held in Sinop by the Turkish University Sports Federation. Our female athlete finished 5th, while the male athletes reached the last 16, having a successful tournament.

 

3x3 Basketball:

Women’s 3x3 Basketball:

  • Our team achieved great success by finishing 2nd in the 3x3 Basketball Turkey Championship held in Çanakkale by the Turkish University Sports Federation. They earned the right to be invited for the first time to the European University Sports Games, to be held in Hungary in 2023, making us very proud. Additionally, they won the Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University, completing a very successful season.

Men’s 3x3 Basketball:

  • Our team finished 9th in the 3x3 Basketball Turkey Championship held in Çanakkale by the Turkish University Sports Federation. They also finished 2nd in the Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University.

 

Dance:

  • Our team participated in the Universities Dance Turkey Championship held in Marmaris by the Turkish University Sports Federation and finished 3rd successfully.

 

Fencing:

  • Our female athlete achieved 3rd place, and our male athlete 5th place in the Universities Fencing Turkey Championship held in İzmir by the Turkish University Sports Federation, bringing great pride.

 

Handball:

  • Our team went undefeated and became champions in the Universities Handball 2nd League held in Nevşehir by the Turkish University Sports Federation, earning the right to compete in the 1st League next year.

Karting:

  • Our team achieved 2nd place in the Universities Karting Turkey Championship, held in Ankara by the Turkish University Sports Federation over two stages, marking the best result we have ever had. Our university is one of only nine universities in Turkey participating in karting competitions.

 

American Football:

  • Our team (Rhinos) participated in the Universities American Football 1st League competitions organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation and had a successful season.

 

Rowing:

  • Our newly established men’s and women’s rowing teams returned with successful results from the Fetih Sporfest Rowing Turkey Championship held in Istanbul by the Turkish University Sports Federation. Our university is one of eleven universities in Turkey competing in rowing. The men’s team placed 6th in the C4x+ (coxswain four) category and 5th in the C2x category. The women’s team successfully completed the race in the C2x category.

 

Table Tennis:

  • Our team participated in the Universities Table Tennis 1st League held in Afyon by the Turkish University Sports Federation and represented our university successfully. They also finished 4th in the Angora Cup organized annually by Bilkent University.

 

Archery:

  • Our men’s and women’s teams competed in the Archery Turkey Championship held in Eskişehir by the Turkish University Sports Federation. Our men’s team achieved 3rd place, marking a great success.

 

Indoor Archery:

  • Our men’s and women’s teams finished 3rd in the Recurve Bow Mixed Team category at the Indoor Archery Turkey Championship held in Eskişehir by the Turkish University Sports Federation, showing great success.

 

Tennis:

Women’s Tennis:

  • Our team achieved 3rd place in the Universities Tennis 1st League held in Manisa by the Turkish University Sports Federation, maintaining their place in the 1st League. They also finished 3rd in the Angora Cup held annually by Bilkent University.

Men’s Tennis:

  • Our team finished 2nd in the Universities Tennis 1st League in Manisa, maintaining their 1st League status, and also achieved 3rd place in the Angora Cup.

 

Volleyball:

Women’s Volleyball:

  • Our team finished 2nd in the Universities Volleyball 1st League held in Ankara by the Turkish University Sports Federation. They also achieved 2nd place in the Angora Cup held annually by Bilkent University.

Men’s Volleyball:

  • Our team finished 2nd in the Universities Volleyball 2nd League in Ankara and also took 2nd place in the Angora Cup.

 

Beach Volleyball:

Women’s and Men’s Teams:

  • Our women’s team finished 5th in the Beach Volleyball Turkey Championship held in Aydın by the Turkish University Sports Federation.

 

Beach Handball:

Men’s Team:

  • Our men’s team finished 5th in the Beach Handball Turkey Championship held in Muğla by the Turkish University Sports Federation.

 

Swimming:

  • The Swimming Turkey Championship held in İzmir by the Turkish University Sports Federation featured a high level of participation, including all national athletes. Our male athlete finished 5th, completing a successful competition. Additionally, our team finished 4th in the Angora Cup organized annually by Bilkent University.

In the 2019 – 2020 Season, due to COVID-19, our university teams participated in competitions with 9 branches and 14 teams.

  • Our team ranked 5th in the Universities 3x3 Basketball Turkish Championship held by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Çanakkale and successfully completed the tournament.

Men’s 3x3 Basketball:

  • Our team also ranked 5th in the same tournament in Çanakkale, successfully completing the competition.

 

Bowling:

Women’s Bowling:

  • Our consistently successful team competed in the Universities Bowling Turkish Championship in Ankara, organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation, and achieved great success by finishing 2nd in Turkey.

Men’s Bowling:

  • Our men’s team also performed excellently in the same championship and finished 2nd in Turkey.

 

Ice Hockey:

  • Our men’s Ice Hockey team ranked 5th at the Universities Ice Hockey Turkish Championship held in Erzurum by the Turkish University Sports Federation. We are proud to be one of the 10 universities in Turkey that compete in this sport.

 

Dance:

  • The Universities Dance Competitions organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation were not held this year. However, our Ballroom Dance team participated in Dance Festivals organized by universities in Ankara and successfully represented our university.

 

Fencing:

  • At the Universities Fencing Championship held in Sivas by the Turkish University Sports Federation, our national athlete Firuze Ayşen Güneş became the Turkish Champion in foil, and our national athlete Volkan Şener achieved 3rd place in sabre, bringing great pride to our university.

 

Handball:

  • Our team finished 4th in their group at the Universities Handball 1st League Turkish Championship in Ankara, organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation, maintaining their position in the 1st League.

 

Karting:

  • Our team participated for the 2nd time in the Universities Karting Turkish Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Ankara, proud to be one of the pioneers in this sport. We are among the 8 universities in Turkey competing in karting.

 

American Football:

  • Our American Football Team (Rhinos) participated in the Ünilig Turkish Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation and successfully represented our university.

 

Table Tennis:

  • Our team ranked 1st in their group and made it to the top 16 out of 98 teams in the Universities 1st League Turkish Championship held in Antalya by the Turkish University Sports Federation, completing the tournament successfully. Congratulations to our player Orkun Şat, who also ranked in the top 16 individually.
  • Our men’s table tennis team placed 3rd at the 16th Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University.

  • We represented our university at the first-ever Universities Modern Pentathlon Turkish Championship held in Ankara by the Turkish University Sports Federation.

  • Our Women’s and Men’s Archery teams participated and successfully represented our university at the Universities Archery Turkish Championship held in Eskişehir by the Turkish University Sports Federation.

 

Chess:

  • Our team participated and successfully represented our university at the “8th Special Başkent Rapid Chess Cup” organized by Başkent University.

 

Beach Handball:

  • We participated for the 2nd time in the Universities Beach Handball Turkish Championship held in Köyceğiz by the Turkish University Sports Federation and achieved great success by finishing 4th in Turkey.

 

Tennis:

Women’s Tennis:

  • Our Women’s team finished 3rd in their group at the Universities Super League Turkish Championship held in Antalya by the Turkish University Sports Federation, maintaining their position in the Super League. It is a source of pride that our university competes among the top 12 universities in Turkey in tennis.
  • Additionally, our team placed 3rd at the 16th Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University.

Men’s Tennis:

  • Our Men’s team finished 3rd in their group at the Universities 1st League Turkish Championship held in Antalya, maintaining their position in the 1st League.
  • They also placed 4th at the 16th Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University.

 

Volleyball:

Women’s Volleyball:

  • Our team ranked 3rd in their group at the Ünilig Volleyball Turkish Championship in Ankara organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation.
  • In the 2nd League Volleyball Turkish Championship in Ankara, our team finished 4th in the group.
  • Moreover, our team won the 16th Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University.

Men’s Volleyball:

  • Our team finished 4th in their group at both the 2nd League Volleyball Turkish Championship and the Ünilig Volleyball Turkish Championship held in Ankara.
  • They placed 4th at the 16th Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University.

 

Swimming:

  • Our team participated in the Koç Fest Swimming Turkish Championship held in Samsun by the Turkish University Sports Federation.
  • Our national athlete Ege BAŞER set a new Turkish record and became the Turkish Champion in the 200m backstroke, also winning silver in the 100m backstroke and bronze in the 50m backstroke, making us proud.
  • Additionally, both our Women’s and Men’s teams placed 3rd at the 16th Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University.

In the 2017–2018 Season, our university teams participated in competitions with 17 branches and 29 teams. With 200 male athletes and 50 female athletes, a total of 250 athletes represented us in various competitions.

 

Shooting:

  • At the Shooting Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Trabzon, our national athlete Muhammed Ali Türkyılmaz ranked within the top 11, and Doğa Akkaya ranked within the top 12. This was the first time we had a female athlete in the shooting branch.

 

Badminton:

  • Our university participated in the 8th Aslı Open Badminton Tournament organized by METU and won first place in men’s doubles.

 

Basketball:

Women’s Basketball:

  • Our university hosted the Basketball Women’s Ünilig Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation and finished 3rd in the tournament.
  • Having been champions last year and promoted from the 2nd League to the 1st League, our team will participate in the 1st League Women’s Basketball Turkey Championship held at METU.

Men’s Basketball:

  • Our undefeated team became champions at the Ünilig Turkey Championship held by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Ankara and took part in the Ünilig Finals in Kocaeli, where they finished 3rd in the group.
  • Additionally, our team won the 2nd League Men’s Basketball Turkey Championship in Ankara and earned promotion to the 1st League for next year.

 

Billiards:

  • Both our male and female billiards teams participated in the Billiards Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Antalya. Our athlete Burak Talak achieved great success by ranking 9th among 110 male athletes.

 

Bowling:

Women’s Bowling:

  • Our team, which has been successful every year at the Bowling Turkey Championship in Ankara, once again achieved great success by finishing 2nd in Turkey.

Men’s Bowling:

  • Our men’s bowling team, which finished 3rd in Turkey last year, repeated their success by securing 3rd place again at the Bowling Turkey Championship in Ankara.

 

Ice Hockey:

  • Our men’s ice hockey team ranked 2nd in their group at the Ünilig Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Erzurum.

 

Dance:

  • Our university will participate in the 10th University Dance Competitions held in Istanbul by the Turkish University Sports Federation.

 

Fencing:

  • At the Turkey Inter-University Fencing Championship held in Nevşehir by the Turkish University Sports Federation, our national athlete Firuze Ayşen Güneş, who was 2nd in Turkey last year in the foil category, became Turkey Champion this year, bringing great pride to us.

 

Handball:

  • At the Ünilig Handball Championship held in Adana by the Turkish University Sports Federation, our team ranked 2nd in the group and qualified for the top 8, but was eliminated in the quarter-finals, missing the chance to reach the top 4.
  • At the 1st League Handball Championship in Ordu, our team finished 4th, maintaining their place in the 1st League.

 

American Football:

  • Our American Football team (Rhinos) did not participate in this year’s Ünilig tournaments organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation but continues preparations for next year’s tournament.

 

Table Tennis:

  • Our men’s table tennis team finished 3rd as a team at the 15th Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University.

 

Archery:

  • Our university’s male and female archery teams participated in the Archery Turkey Championship held in Antalya by the Turkish University Sports Federation.

 

Chess:

  • Our newly established chess team participated in the “7th Special Başkent Blitz Chess Cup” organized by Başkent University.

 

Tennis:

Women’s Tennis:

  • Our women’s team became undefeated champions at the 1st League Turkey Championship held in Antalya by the Turkish University Sports Federation, finishing top of their group, and will participate in the Super League next year. It is a source of pride that our university will compete in the Tennis Super League for the first time.
  • Additionally, our team placed 2nd at the 15th Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University.

Men’s Tennis:

  • Our men’s team ranked 2nd in their group at the 1st League Turkey Championship in Antalya, maintaining their place in the 1st League.
  • They also placed 4th at the 15th Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University.

 

Volleyball:

Women’s Volleyball:

  • Our team ranked 4th in their group at the 2nd League Volleyball Turkey Championship held in Ankara by the Turkish University Sports Federation and remained in the 2nd League.
  • They also placed 3rd in their group at the Ünilig Volleyball Turkey Championship.
  • Moreover, they finished 2nd at the 15th Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University.

Men’s Volleyball:

  • Our men’s team ranked 4th in their group at the 2nd League Volleyball Turkey Championship and stayed in the 2nd League.
  • They finished 4th in their group at the Ünilig Volleyball Turkey Championship.

 

Swimming:

  • Our university participated in the Koç Fest Swimming Turkey Championship held in Adana by the Turkish University Sports Federation. Our national athlete Ege Başer achieved great success by becoming Turkey Champion in both the 100m backstroke and 200m backstroke events.
  • Also, our men’s and women’s teams finished 3rd at the 15th Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University.

In the 2016–2017 Season, our university teams participated in competitions with 18 branches and 28 teams. With 157 male athletes and 46 female athletes, a total of 203 athletes represented us in various tournaments.

 

Shooting:

  • At the Shooting Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Sakarya, our sole representative Muhammed Ali Türkyılmaz ranked among the top 8.

 

Badminton:

  • Our university's Men’s and Women’s Badminton Teams successfully represented us at the 2nd League Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Antalya.

 

Basketball:
Women’s Basketball:

  • In the Basketball Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation, our Women’s Basketball Team in the 2nd League competed in the tournament held in Antalya and became undefeated champions, earning promotion to the 1st League.

Men’s Basketball:

  • Our Men’s Basketball Team represented us at the 2nd League Turkey Championship in Antalya.

 

Billiards:

  • At the Billiards Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Antalya, our athlete Burak Talak reached the top 16, Serkan Kazdağ reached the top 32, and our female athlete, participating for the first time, was eliminated in the first round.

 

Bowling:
Women’s Bowling:

  • Despite being newly established last year and finishing 2nd in Turkey, our Women’s Bowling Team achieved 1st place in the Turkey Championship held in Ankara, marking a great success.

Men’s Bowling:

  • Our Men’s Bowling Team, which ranked 3rd last year, repeated this success by placing 3rd again this year at the Turkey Championship in Ankara.

 

Ice Hockey:

  • Our Men’s Ice Hockey Team won 5 out of 6 matches in the qualifying group of the Turkey University Sports Federation’s Ünilig Championship held in Kocaeli, advancing to the final group. Having a very successful season, the team gained recognition. Player Can Kaya, supported by this year’s scholarship, was top scorer, while last year’s scholarship recipient Berk Akın was selected as the best goalkeeper. Unfortunately, we could not attend the finals in Erzurum due to exam week conflicts.

 

Dance:

  • At the Interuniversity Dance Competition organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Istanbul, our student Tuğberk Coşkun received the “Best Male Dancer” award, and Elif Sönmez received the “Best Female Dancer” award, bringing great prestige to our university. Tuğberk Coşkun, who has won the “Best Male Dancer” award for five consecutive years, is a pride and significant contributor to the development of our Dance branch.

 

Fencing:

  • At the Interuniversity Fencing Championship held in Konya by the Turkish University Sports Federation, our student Ayşe Begümhan Bilgin placed 3rd in the saber category, and Firuze Ayşen Güneş placed 2nd in foil, successfully representing our university. Our male fencer Muhammed Ali Türkyılmaz reached the top 16. Ayşe Begümhan Bilgin, who has won medals in saber for five consecutive years, is especially congratulated.

 

Football:

  • Our team participated in the 2nd League matches organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Antalya.

 

Handball:

  • In the 1st League matches organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Antalya, our handball team became undefeated champions, qualifying for the Super League promotion tournament. Due to an incomplete squad, they finished 4th at the Super League promotion tournament held in Eskişehir.

 

American Football:

  • Our American Football team (Rhinos) had a successful season in the Ünilig organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation.

 

Table Tennis:

  • Our Men’s Table Tennis Team successfully represented our university at the Ünilig Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation.

  • Our Men’s Team participated in the Ünilig Turkey Championship held in Antalya and maintained their place in the 1st League at the 1st League Turkey Championship.

  • Due to many graduates and insufficient participation this year, our Women’s Volleyball Team did not participate this season.

Men’s Volleyball:

  • Our Men’s Volleyball Team represented our university with great effort and success at the 2nd League Turkey Championship in Antalya organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation.

  • At the Koç Fest Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Denizli, our national swimmer Ege Başer won the gold medal in the 100-meter backstroke event.

In the 2015–2016 Season, our university teams participated in competitions with 25 teams across 18 branches. With 200 male athletes and 50 female athletes, a total of 250 athletes represented us in various tournaments.

  • At the Shooting Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Sakarya, our student Muhammed Ali Türkyılmaz ranked among the top 8.

  • Our Men's Basketball Team, competing in the 1st League, finished 4th in their group at the 1st League Group Championship held in Ankara and was relegated to a lower league. Our Women's Basketball Team placed 4th in their group at the 2nd League Turkey Championship held in Zonguldak.

 

Billiards:

  • Our newly established Billiards Team ranked in the top 8 at the Billiards Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Antalya. Additionally, they took 3rd place as a team at a special tournament held by Başkent University. Individually, our student Burak Talak also secured 3rd place.

 

Cycling:

  • Our Cycling Club represented our university at the cycling festivals held in Bartın and Fethiye.

 

Bowling:

  • At the Bowling Turkey Championship held in Ankara by the Turkish University Sports Federation, our newly formed Women's Bowling Team achieved 2nd place in Turkey, while our Men's Bowling Team ranked 3rd, marking a great success.

 

Ice Hockey:

  • Our Men's Ice Hockey Team finished 4th in their group at the Ünilig Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in İzmir.

 

Dance:

  • At the Interuniversity Dance Competition held by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Istanbul, our student Tuğberk Coşkun won the "Best Male Dancer" award. We proudly congratulate Tuğberk Coşkun, who has won this award for four consecutive years.

 

Fencing:

  • At the Turkish Interuniversity Fencing Championship held in Afyon, our student Ayşe Begüm Bilgin won 3rd place in the sabre category, and our student Solmaz Simge Uğurlu ranked in the top 8 in the foil category. Our male fencer Muhammed Ali Türkyılmaz reached the top 16, representing our university successfully. We also congratulate Ayşe Begüm Bilgin, who has won medals in the sabre category for four consecutive years.

 

Football (Soccer):

  • Our team successfully represented our university in the 2nd League matches held by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Ankara. Additionally, the team placed 3rd in the Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University.

 

Futsal:

  • Our team represented our university successfully in the 2nd League matches organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Ankara.

 

Handball:

  • Having been promoted from the 2nd League to the 1st League the previous season, our Handball Team finished 4th at the 1st League Turkey Championship held in Eskişehir and retained their position in the 1st League. They also placed 2nd at the Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University.

 

American Football:

  • Our American Football Team participated in the Ünilig organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation. The team finished 4th in their group, below expectations.

 

Table Tennis:

  • Our Men's Table Tennis Team successfully represented our university at both the Ünilig and the Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation. The team also placed 3rd at the Angora Cup held by Bilkent University.

 

Archery:

  • Our Men's and Women's Archery Teams represented our university at the Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Antalya.

The Men's Tennis Team ranked 1st in their group, becoming one of the top 9 teams in Turkey, and finished 5th at the Ünilig Finals held in Samsun. At the 2nd League Turkey Championship in Antalya, our Men's Tennis Team remained undefeated and won the championship, earning promotion to the 1st League. The Men's Tennis Team also took 3rd place at the Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University.

 

Volleyball:

  • Our Women's Volleyball Team ranked 3rd in their group at the 1st League Turkey Championship held in Antalya. The Men's Volleyball Team finished 4th at the 2nd League Turkey Championship held in Ankara. At the Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University, the Women's Volleyball Team took 3rd place, and the Men's Team placed 4th.

 

Swimming:

  • At the Interuniversity Turkey Championship held in Antalya, our national swimmer Ege Başer won 1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze medal, while Ali Uğur Erdoğan won 1 silver medal. At the Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University, Ege Başer won 4 gold medals, Ali Uğur Erdoğan won 1 gold and 3 silver medals, İrem Tülüoğlu won 1 silver medal, and Muhammed Ali Türkyılmaz won 1 bronze medal, helping the team to finish 3rd overall.

During the 2014–2015 season, our university teams competed in 16 different sports disciplines. With 188 male and 62 female athletes, we participated in competitions with a total of 250 athletes.

 

Shooting:

  • At the Shooting Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Ankara, our student Muhammed Ali Türkyılmaz achieved great success by finishing 3rd in Turkey.

 

Badminton:

  • Our university’s men’s and women’s badminton teams represented our school at the Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Antalya.

 

Basketball:

  • Our Men’s Basketball Team, competing in the 1st League, finished 4th in the 1st League Group Championship held in Nevşehir.
  • Our Women’s Basketball Team, re-established after a long hiatus, successfully represented our university at the 2nd League Turkey Championship held in Bolu.

 

Bowling:

  • At the Bowling Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Ankara, our team achieved 3rd place in team rankings, marking a great success.

 

Ice Hockey:

  • Our Men’s Ice Hockey Team represented our school at the Turkey Championship held under the ÜNİLİG competition organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation.

 

Dance:

  • At the Interuniversity Dance Competitions held in Istanbul by the Turkish University Sports Federation, our dance team returned with multiple awards.
  • Our team won Best Male Dancer (Tuğberk Coşkun), Best Female Dancer (Anastasia Khomullo), and 3rd place overall in Turkey.
  • We especially congratulate our pride, Tuğberk Coşkun, who has held the title of Best Male Dancer for three consecutive years.

 

Fencing:

  • At the Interuniversity Turkey Fencing Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Zonguldak, our student Ayşe Begüm Bilgin won the gold medal in the sabre category, becoming Turkey’s Champion.
  • In foil, our student Solmaz Simge Uğurlu narrowly missed a bronze medal.
  • Among our male fencers, Muhammed Ali Türkyılmaz was eliminated in the semifinals, while Berkay Bulut and Oğuz Berk Mutlay were eliminated in the quarterfinals.
  • We give special congratulations to Ayşe Begüm Bilgin, who has been the Turkey Champion in sabre for three consecutive years.

 

Football (Soccer):

  • Our team represented our university at the Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University.

 

Futsal:

  • At the 2nd League competitions held in Manisa by the Turkish University Sports Federation, our team finished 4th in their group.

 

Handball:

  • At the 2nd League Turkey Championship held in Antalya by the Turkish University Sports Federation, our team won all their matches undefeated, becoming the champions and earned promotion back to the 1st League.

American Football:

  • Our American Football Team participated in the Ünilig competition organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation. The team underperformed, finishing 4th in their group.

 

Table Tennis:

  • Our Men’s Table Tennis Team successfully represented our school in both Ünilig and the Turkey Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation.
  • At the Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University, our Table Tennis team placed 4th.

 

Indoor Archery:

  • Our Men’s and Women’s Indoor Archery Teams represented our university at the Turkey Championship held in Eskişehir by the Turkish University Sports Federation.

 

Tennis:

  • Our Men’s and Women’s Tennis Teams participated in the Turkey Championship, organized within Ünilig in Antalya by the Turkish University Sports Federation.
  • The Men’s Tennis Team became 1st in their group, qualifying among the top 9 teams in Turkey, and later finished 5th at the Ünilig Finals held in Samsun.
  • At the 2nd League Turkey Championship in Antalya, the Men’s Tennis Team won all matches undefeated and earned promotion to the 1st League.
  • At the Angora Cup hosted by Bilkent University, our Men’s Tennis Team placed 3rd.

 

Volleyball:

  • Our Women’s Volleyball Team placed 3rd in their group in the 1st League Turkey Championship held in Balıkesir by the Turkish University Sports Federation.
  • Our Men’s Volleyball Team placed 4th at the 2nd League Turkey Championship in Ankara.
  • At the Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University, the Women’s Volleyball Team became champions, while the Men’s Volleyball Team finished 4th.

 

Swimming:

  • At the Interuniversity Turkey Championship held in Isparta, our students achieved the following rankings:

  • Ali Uğur Erdoğan: 5th and 7th places

  • İrem Tüloğlu: 5th and 7th places

  • İnanç Barutçu: 5th and 6th places

Badminton:

  • Our university’s badminton men’s and women’s teams, established for the first time, successfully represented our school at the Turkey University Sports Federation’s Turkey Championship.

  • Our basketball team, competing in the 1st league, took 2nd place in the Interuniversity 1st League Group Championship held in Mersin.

 

Bowling:

  • At the Bowling Turkey Championship held in Ankara, our student Alphan Alkan ranked 4th individually; our bowling team also achieved 4th place in the team rankings nationwide.

 

Ice Hockey:

  • Our university’s women’s ice hockey team, established for the first time, along with our men’s team participating for the second time, took part in the UniLeague organized by the Turkey University Sports Federation and successfully represented our school.

 

Dance:

  • In the Interuniversity Dance Competitions held in Istanbul, our dance group participated for the first time this year with 15 members and returned with awards. Our dance team was honored with the awards for "Best Male Dancer (Tuğberk Coşkun), Best Costume, and Jury Special Awards."

 

Fencing:

  • At the Turkey Interuniversity Fencing Competitions held in Konya, our student Ayşe Begüm Bilgin won the gold medal in sabre, becoming Turkey’s champion. In foil, our student Solmaz Simge Uğurlu placed 3rd. Berkay Bulut reached the top 8 in sabre.

  • Our team ranked 5th in the group at the Interuniversity 2nd league matches held in Ankara.

  • Our team ranked 4th in the group at the Interuniversity 2nd league matches held in Manisa.

 

Handball:

  • Our handball team ranked 4th in the group at the Interuniversity 1st league matches held in Antalya and was relegated to a lower division.

 

American Football:

  • Our American football team participated in the UniLeague organized by the Turkey University Sports Federation and ranked 4th in the group, resulting in relegation to a lower division.

 

Rowing:

  • Our student Sezer Ballı successfully represented our university at the Turkey Championship organized by the Turkey University Sports Federation.

 

Table Tennis:

  • Our men’s table tennis team successfully represented our school at the Turkey University Sports Federation’s Turkey Championship. In the traditional Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University, our table tennis team ranked 4th.

 

Archery:

  • Our men’s and women’s archery teams ranked 4th at the Turkey Championship organized by the Turkey University Sports Federation.

 

Indoor Archery:

  • Our university’s indoor archery men’s and women’s teams, established for the first time, ranked 2nd at the Turkey Championship organized by the Turkey University Sports Federation.

 

Speedminton:

  • Our university’s speedminton men’s and women’s teams, established for the first time, ranked 5th at the Turkey Championship organized by the Turkey University Sports Federation.

 

Tennis:

  • Our university’s tennis men’s and women’s teams, established for the first time, successfully represented our school at the Turkey Championship held within the UniLeague by the Turkey University Sports Federation. In Bilkent University’s traditional Angora Cup, our women’s tennis team ranked 3rd and men’s tennis team ranked 4th.

 

Volleyball:

  • Our team ranked 2nd in the group at the Interuniversity 1st league group matches held in Zonguldak. In Bilkent University’s traditional Angora Cup, our women’s volleyball team ranked 2nd and men’s volleyball team ranked 4th.

 

Swimming:

  • In the Interuniversity Turkey Championship held in Kayseri, our student Ali Uğur Erdoğan won 2 silver and 1 bronze medals; İrem Tüloğlu ranked 4th; İnanç Barutçu ranked 4th and 6th.

Shooting:

  • In the shooting category, our female athlete Sezen Hilal Şahin participated in the Turkey Championship held at Ankara Police Academy and ranked 16th.

 

Basketball:

  • In basketball, our team competing in the 1st league ranked 3rd in their group at the Interuniversity 1st League Championship held at Kayseri Erciyes University.

 

Bowling:

  • At the Bowling Turkey Championship held in Ankara, our student Alphan Alkan was unfortunately unable to repeat his previous successes and did not win a medal.

 

Dance:

  • At the Interuniversity Dance Competitions held in Istanbul, our student Tuğberk Coşkun was selected as the best male dancer.

 

Fencing:

  • At the Turkey Interuniversity Fencing Competitions held in Samsun, our student Ayşe Begüm Bilgin won the gold medal in sabre, and our student Solmaz Simge Uğurlu won the silver medal in foil.

 

Football:

  • Our team ranked 3rd in their group at the Interuniversity 2nd league matches held in Ankara. At the traditional Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University, our football team ranked 4th.

 

Handball:

  • Our handball team ranked 4th in their group at the Interuniversity 1st league matches.

 

American Football:

  • Our American football team won all their matches undefeated in the 1st league, finishing 1st in their group and was promoted to the Super League. After the played play-off matches, they also received an award for 3rd place.

 

Indoor Football (Futsal):

  • Our team ranked 2nd in their group at the Interuniversity 2nd league held in Ankara.

 

Volleyball:

  • Our team ranked 2nd in their group at the Interuniversity 1st league matches held in Kocaeli. At the traditional Angora Cup organized by Bilkent University, our women’s volleyball team ranked 1st, and the men’s volleyball team ranked 2nd.

 

Swimming:

  • In the swimming category at the Interuniversity Turkey Championship held in Adana, our student Cansu Gökçe Özten won 2 gold medals, Ali Uğur Erdoğan won 2 gold and 1 silver medal, and İrem Tüloğlu won 1 silver medal.

Shooting:

  • Our male athletes placed 19th and 42nd in the shooting events. Our female athlete ranked 11th.

 

Basketball:

  • Our basketball team is in the 1st league. This year, they finished 5th and have remained in the league.

 

Ice Hockey:

  • Our ice hockey team could not participate in this year’s competitions due to injuries.

 

Bowling:

  • In the Turkish Interuniversity Bowling competitions, our student Alphan Alkan placed 3rd and won a bronze medal.

 

Fencing:

  • Our student Simge Uğurlu ranked 1st in the Turkish Interuniversity Fencing competitions and won a gold medal.

 

Football (Soccer):

  • Our football team ranked 8th in the interuniversity 2nd league competitions. In Bilkent University’s traditional Angora Cup, our football team placed 2nd.

 

Handball:

  • Our handball team ranked 2nd in the interuniversity handball 2nd league competitions and was promoted to the 1st league.
  • In beach handball, which we participated in for the first time this year, we achieved great success by finishing 5th among 16 teams. Our national goalkeeper Yağız Öksüzcük was also selected as the best goalkeeper of the tournament.

 

Cross Country:

  • We participated in cross country competitions for the first time this year.

 

American Football:

  • Our American football team was relegated to a lower league this year due to unfortunate circumstances.

 

Rowing:

  • In rowing, our students participated in mixed team competitions together with Ankara University and finished 4th.

 

Archery:

  • We have been participating in archery competitions for 4 years and formed a mixed team for the first time this year.

 

Indoor Football (Futsal):

  • Our futsal team competes in the 2nd league.

 

Volleyball:

  • Our women's volleyball team finished 3rd in the group and remained in the 1st league. Our men’s volleyball team ranked 3rd in the interuniversity volleyball 2nd league competitions. In Bilkent University’s traditional Angora Cup, our women’s volleyball team took 1st place and the men’s volleyball team 2nd place.
  • We also participated in the beach volleyball competitions organized by Gazi University. Our athletes Esra Şahiner and Ali Toplaoğlu were selected as the Queen and King of the tournament, respectively.

 

Swimming:

  • The swimming competitions were held on May 12-13 at Eskişehir Anadolu University this year. Our students Cansu Gökçe Özten won 1 bronze medal, and Ali Uğur Erdoğan won 2 silver and 1 gold medal.

Shooting:

  • In the competitions held at Ankara KHO, our female athlete Merve Yılmazlar ranked 20th, and in the men's category, Efecan Rübendiz ranked 30th.

 

Bowling:

  • Our athlete Vural Alphan Alkan became 3rd in the Interuniversity Turkey Bowling Championship.

 

Ice Hockey:

  • Eight universities participated in the competition held in Erzurum. Our team defeated Istanbul University and finished 6th in the Turkish Interuniversity Ice Hockey Championship.

 

Fencing:

  • 29 universities participated in the competition held in Eskişehir. Our athlete Simge Uğurlu ranked 3rd in Turkey. Efecan Rübendiz passed the elimination round and the first round of the final group, was eliminated in the second round of the final group, and ranked 25th out of 78 athletes. Merve Yılmazlar ranked 33rd.

 

Football (Soccer):

  • We participated in the Interuniversity 2nd League competitions held in Ankara and ranked 7th.

 

Handball:

  • We participated in the Interuniversity 2nd League competitions held in Ankara and ranked 2nd.

 

American Football:

  • Our team finished 1st in its group in the 2nd league and qualified to play the semi-final and final for the 2nd league championship.

 

Futsal:

  • The competition was held in Antalya. There were 7 teams in our group. We finished 2nd based on goal difference without any defeats.

 

Archery:

  • The Archery Turkey Championship was held in Antalya with 28 universities participating. Based on individual shooting results, our athletes qualified to participate in the team competitions. We succeeded in ranking within the top 8 among 28 universities.

 

Volleyball:

Women:

  • The competition was held in Aksaray. Our women's volleyball team participated in the Interuniversity 1st League matches. They defeated Selçuk University in their group, reached the semi-finals, and ranked 4th in the Turkish Interuniversity 1st League.

Men:

  • Held at Ankara Bilkent University. Our team participated in the Interuniversity 2nd League matches and ranked 5th.
