History
Atılım University was established by the Atılım Foundation in Ankara on July 15, 1997. Since its establishment, the university has continuously strived to cultivate qualified human resources for our country, aligning with its goal of becoming a research university. To strengthen postgraduate research and development activities—a fundamental requirement for a research university—the Atılım University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences was founded on July 17, 1997. The Graduate School's first postgraduate program, offered by the Department of Computer Engineering, began in the Spring semester of 2001-2002. Currently, our Graduate School offers 14 thesis-based master's programs, 12 non-thesis master's programs (requiring graduation projects), and 8 doctoral programs. These programs are offered across a total of 16 departments affiliated with the Faculties of Arts and Sciences, Fine Arts, and Engineering.
