Clinical Practice
Atılım University's Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation maintains clinical partnerships with a range of healthcare and educational institutions to help students integrate theoretical knowledge with practice. Through the second-year "Summer Internship" and the fourth-year "Clinical Practice" course, students apply what they've learned in class directly with patients, work alongside supervising physiotherapists, and gain observation experience — developing into physiotherapists ready for professional practice.
This is carried out through the university's affiliation with Medicana International Ankara Hospital and its collaboration with the Ankara Provincial Health Directorate, across institutions offering healthcare services at various levels.
Within this framework, students take an active role in health education, health screenings, and health promotion and protection activities.
This process is also designed to build students' professional competence, communication, teamwork, clinical decision-making, and evidence-based care skills.
