Green areas that are designed to meet certain needs and functions of human and social life, or to restore a region to its natural function and appearance, must be maintained continuously in order to achieve these purposes.

Maintenance and renewal efforts on green areas include irrigation, lawn mowing, weed control, shape pruning, spraying against diseases and pests, fertilization, hoeing of bushes and tree bases, correction of irrigation basins, removal of dry branches of trees, shrubs and roses, cutting and throwing away bloomed and dried flowers, strengthening tree stakes, adjustment of tree ties; removal of plants that do not hold, dry up or die; and planting new ones of the same type and quality, repairing damaged areas and returning them to their original form, among others deemed necessary by the Landscaping Architect, in order to keep the organized green area clean, tidy and well-groomed.
