Practical interview and internship opportunities within the scope of the Professional Ethics Course.
13.01.2026

Students in the Public Relations and Advertising Department's PR 321 – Professional Ethics course gained internship opportunities through a practical interview process conducted at the end of the course.

The PR 321 – Professional Ethics course, taught by Dr. Sevgi Baykaldı, a faculty member in the Public Relations and Advertising Department, was structured to provide students with real-world interview experience and to enable successful students to benefit from internship opportunities.

Throughout the semester, students taking the course had the opportunity to develop ethical awareness, communication, and career skills that will contribute to their professional lives. Unlike previous semesters, the course content was completely revamped and supported by Pearson content integrated with artificial intelligence, creating an innovative learning environment. Thanks to the AI-supported system, students were able to instantly identify and correct their mistakes and manage their learning processes more effectively.

Through the system called MyLab within Pearson, students not only attended lectures but also actively interacted with the content and worked regularly on the materials. This method helped students identify their knowledge gaps and plan their learning processes more efficiently.

The course focused on developing students' communication skills, as well as addressing current practices related to the changing nature of employment. Students gained the knowledge and competencies necessary to be successful communicators in the workplace, while also improving their interview skills. At the end of the course, with the support of the Career Planning and Cooperative Education Coordination Office, the General Manager of CleanFix Turkey was invited to the university for a "Practical Interview" session with the students. This session allowed students to experience a real-world industry interview process firsthand.

Internship Opportunities for Students

Following the interview process, three students who successfully completed the evaluation stages were offered internship opportunities at CleanFix. This practice strengthened the students' pre-graduation adaptation to the business world and reinforced the department's collaborations with the industry. This direct interaction between academic knowledge and the business world once again highlighted the importance of practical training.

We thank all stakeholders involved in this process and wish success to our students who have earned internship opportunities.
