The Department of Audiology was established within the Atılım Faculty of Health Sciences in 2021. Our four-year Audiology Undergraduate Programme aims to train students to work in the fields of hearing and balance science, and to practise audiology in clinical, experimental, industrial and rehabilitation settings.

The programme's educational objectives:

  • Actively involved in the diagnosis, monitoring, assessment, and rehabilitation of hearing loss from infancy to old age, 
  • Actively involved in the assessment, diagnosis, monitoring, and rehabilitation of the vestibular system and its disorders,
  • Can work as professionals providing audiology services in public and private healthcare institutions, educational institutions, and/or research centers,
  • Knows and adheres to professional ethics and values,
  • Can work in a multidisciplinary manner by collaborating with interdisciplinary teams,
  • Continuing their professional development through in-service training after their undergraduate education, based on the concept of lifelong learning,
  • Contributing to the production of scientific knowledge by participating in research and projects conducted at the national and international levels,
  • Developing their identity and awareness as audiologists by gaining expertise in their field, and aiming to train qualified audiologists. 

Mission

To train competent audiologists who are equipped with knowledge and skills in the assessment, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of hearing and balance disorders, who are committed to ethical values, aware of their professional responsibilities, productive, committed to lifelong learning, serve public health, and contribute to the field.

To be an education, research, and application center that is sensitive to society, ahead of its time, open to interdisciplinary cooperation, and recognized nationally and internationally, in light of scientific knowledge and ethical values.
