Ph.D. Program in Architecture

Established in 2012, our Ph.D. Program in Architecture was the first doctoral program in architecture offered by a foundation university in Ankara. The program admits both applicants holding a master's degree and outstanding bachelor's degree graduates through the integrated Ph.D. track. In addition to graduates of architecture, the program is open to applicants from related disciplines approved by the Department's Academic Board, including urban design, city and regional planning, industrial design, landscape architecture, interior architecture, art history, and other relevant fields. The language of instruction is Turkish. M.Sc. Program in Architecture

Established in 2018, the M.Sc. Program in Architecture is open to graduates of architecture as well as applicants from related disciplines approved by the Department's Academic Board, including urban design, city and regional planning, industrial design, landscape architecture, interior architecture, art history, and other relevant fields. Designed for students who wish to deepen the professional knowledge acquired during their undergraduate education, develop expertise in specialized areas, and pursue academic and research careers, the program offers a dynamic and research-oriented learning environment. The language of instruction is 30% English. Graduate education in our Department is built upon a strong culture of academic research. Students are encouraged and actively mentored to transform their research and theses into publications in nationally and internationally indexed journals and to apply for competitive research funding, including grants from TÜBİTAK. Supported by a highly qualified academic staff and a dynamic research environment, our graduate programs aim to educate the next generation of researchers through interdisciplinary collaboration, innovative research addressing contemporary and future challenges, and active participation in the production and dissemination of scientific knowledge. Our goal is to contribute original theoretical, conceptual, and empirical insights to the field of architecture while enhancing the international visibility and impact of our research.
