Dr. Tevfik Bulut’s single-authored article entitled “Perceived health inequalities in OECD countries: A macro-level cluster analysis” has been published in Children and Youth Services Review, an internationally reputable journal ranked in the Q1 category in its field.
In this study, data from 39 countries covering the period 2003–2024 were analyzed using Linear Mixed Effects Models (LMM) and the K-means clustering algorithm. The findings reveal that education plays a crucial role in reducing health inequalities, functioning almost as a “social vaccine,” particularly for women. Thus, the study aims to contribute significantly to the development of intersectional and country-specific structural policy interventions for disadvantaged groups, as well as to the field of global public health.
We congratulate our esteemed colleague, who also holds the title of “qualified researcher” awarded by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), on this international and prestigious achievement.
