With this authorization, Atilim University has become the first and only Turkish foundation university which has its own flight school and aircrafts. Candidate pilots of Atilim University Authorized Training Organization will take applied trainings at Sivrihisar General Aviation Center (SUSHM) and Cappadocia, Nevşehir.

An Important License For Amateurs

LAPL is one of the authorizations given to Authorized Training Organization of our University. For especially amateur pilots, there will be a category change with LAPL which is different from PPL. LAPL, abbreviation of Light Aircraft Pilot License, authorizes pilots to fly 4-seat aircrafts of which certified maximum takeoff weight does not exceed 2000kg. This license will be used by amateur pilots who will not pursue a professional career in aviation. Private Pilot License (PPL) is issued after 100-hour ground training, 40-hour flight training and 5-hour simulator training; however, LAPL training covers 100-hour ground training and 30-hour flight training.
