Statistics Probability Operational Research Seminars
24.02.2021

Statistical and stochastic modeling have become increasingly prevalent of our everyday lives in today’s society.  Most of the operational research problems are stochastic by nature. For example, many research problems concerned with the dynamics of COVID-19 pandemic include statistical and probabilistic aspects and stochastic operational research models. The calculation of related probabilities and estimation based on available data are essential in terms of risk management and decision making. Thus, a more quantitative and systematic treatment of uncertainty through the use of statistical and probabilistic methods greatly aid the decision maker.

The online SPOR seminar series aims at creating opportunities to connect with colleagues and to focus on shared interests in research. The talks will be given by internationally known scientists who are experts in their fields.

The Zoom meeting ID will be shared in the seminar announcement. If you have any questions, feel free to contact to
