Open Faculty Positions for Spring and Fall 2017

The Manufacturing Engineering Department of Atılım University invites applications to fill an open faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank for Fall and Spring 2017. All candidates who have strong backgrounds in fundamental disciplines relevant to mechanical engineering with earned Ph. D. Degrees from recognised universities are welcome to apply. Candidates are expected to have interest and expertise in one or more of the following areas: Theoretical and Computational Mechanics, Experimental Mechanics, Mechanical Design and Advanced Manufacturing Technologies.
The department has a well developed CAD/CAM laboratory and computational facilities, suitable for teaching and research purposes. The department faculty is also in charge of the management of the Center of Excellence for Metal Forming which is unique in Turkey with its computational and experimental capacity in terms of its intellectual and physical capabilities.
The candidates are expected to contribute to the undergraduate and graduate teaching as well as to the research activities conducted in the department and at the Center of Excellence. Interdisciplinary activities in teaching and research are highly encouraged and the candidates with such experience and interest may have a preference.
