An international journal article is published on "MECE 422 Multidisciplinary Engineering Design" course given at Atilim University.

The methodology developed for conducting "MECE422 Multidisciplinary Engineering Design" course jointly given by a multidisciplinary instruction team during 2020-2021 Spring semester become the subject of an article in the "Computer Applications in Engineering Education" journal within the scope of SCI-e. The instruction team was composed of Asst. Prof. Dr. Bilge SAY from Software Engineering Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zühal ERDEN from Mechatronics Engineering Department and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cihan TURHAN from Energy Systems Engineering Department from Faculty of Engineering.

The article describes a new methodology developed for effectively conducting the course in distance education during COVID-19 pandemic. MECE 422 course consists of "lectures", "practice hours" and "various stages of design projects performed by multidisciplinary student teams". The developed methodology is based on the integration of 4 different software tools used in various activities within the course. The article presents details of this integration, as well as the results of qualitative and quantitative evaluation in terms of multidisciplinary team effectiveness.
