MTT393 Design Culture Course – Short Film Screening
29.12.2025
Within the scope of the MTT 393 Design Culture course, conducted under the Textile and Fashion Design Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture at Atılım University, students produced short films addressing the cultural, social, and economic dimensions of design.
Through this project, students aimed to explore concepts such as design, culture, identity, consumption, silence, communication, and the memory of objects through the language of visual storytelling. The films produced reveal the students' critical perspectives on design culture through a cinematic form of expression.
The prepared short films were screened at the "Very Short Film Screening" event held on December 29, 2025, in the Kemal Zaim Conference Hall.
The student films included in the screening were:
Silent Fashion in the Capital
Colors and Silent Communication
Silent Witnesses: The Memory of Objects
Consumption Frenzy
This event enabled students to experience design culture not only theoretically but also through a production and storytelling-oriented process.
