MTT451 Performing Arts Costume Design Course – Seasonal Styling Studies
29.12.2025

Within the scope of the Costume Design course conducted under the Department of Textile and Fashion Design, students researched different historical periods and examined the costume, silhouette, and style characteristics specific to these periods.

In this context, students created their own styling works based on their chosen periods and expressed the social, cultural, and aesthetic characteristics of these periods through visual narratives and verbal presentations. The prepared works demonstrate that costume design is not only a visual element but also a means of expression reflecting the identity and lifestyle of the period.

This activity aimed to develop students' historical research, visual analysis, and creative interpretation skills; and allowed for a re-examination of period costumes from a contemporary perspective.
