MESSAGE FROM PROF. DR. FÜSUN TERZİOĞLU, DEAN OF THE SCHOOL OF HEALTH SCIENCES REGARDING THE EDUCATION

Dear School of Health Sciences Students,

We are closely following the updates on the COVID-19 virus affecting not solely our country, but the entire world, having been announced as a pandemic by the World Health Organization. Our University is managing the process by taking the measures required to ensure the mitigation of its negative effects on our personnel and students. In this process, preparations are currently underway towards distance education with our Faculty members and instructors, in order not to interrupt our education in the Spring of 2019-2020. In this scope, course presentations and documents shall be uploaded to the system by relevant instructors. Updates on all course-related activities shall be announced via Moodle and online courses will be conducted through the ZOOM program. Thus, please continue visiting our university web page to stay updated on your courses, and use the Moodle system actively to proceed with them.

In the light of the events where efforts have been made against interruptions in education, we also expect that you take personal prevention measures to protect yourself and your loved ones, and be a role model as future health professionals.

Thank you for your cooperation in such a dire period. For your course-related or other inquiries, please e-mail or phone your academic advisors, the instructors responsible for your courses, department directorates or our Dean’s Office.

I would like to express my belief that our country will leave the current process behind and we will return to our classes, to continue education face-to-face. I wish you and your families a healthy day.

Prof. Dr.  Füsun Terzioğlu
