The 6th Atılım Research Days (ATAG2026)

The 6th Atılım Research Days (ATAG2026), organized by the Directorate of ARGEDA-TTO (Atılım University Technology Transfer Office) on May 21–22, 2026, commenced with the opening remarks of our Rector, Prof. Dr. Serkan Eryılmaz. In his speech, Prof. Dr. Eryılmaz highlighted the “Research-Oriented Education” vision, one of the priorities of our University, and introduced the projects supported through the University’s own resources under the Atılım University Student Research Career Support Program (ATAK) and the Undergraduate Research Support Program (LAP).

Following the opening remarks, a panel titled “Rethinking the Role of Statistics in Education and Research in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” was held, moderated by Prof. Dr. Serkan Eryılmaz, with Prof. Dr. İsmihan Bayramoğlu, Prof. Dr. Ömer Lütfi Gebizlioğlu, and Prof. Dr. Ülkü Gürler serving as panelists. Following the panel, sapling donation certificates and plaques donated on behalf of the guest panelists were presented by our Rector.

Following the panel, the Chair of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Yalçın Zaim, the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees, Ms. Zerlin Zaim, and our Rector, Prof. Dr. Serkan Eryılmaz, together with their delegation, visited the foyer area where the project teams selected for support under ATAK and LAP presented their project posters.

As part of the program, seminars titled “Next-Generation Molecularly Imprinted Polymer-Based Biosensors and Their Applications,” delivered by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Lütfi Yola, and “Unknown Facts About the History of Ankara,” delivered by Prof. Dr. Emine Erdoğan Özünlü, were held. Sapling donation certificates and plaques donated on behalf of the invited speakers were presented by our Rector.

Following the closing remarks, awards were presented to the teams that ranked in the 2025–2026 Academic Year Theme Student Research Projects Competition.

We congratulate all our students who presented their projects on their achievements and extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to this meaningful event, particularly the Chair of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Yalçın Zaim; the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees, Ms. Zerlin Zaim; our Rector, Prof. Dr. Serkan Eryılmaz; our Vice Rector for Research, Prof. Dr. Fatih Tank; our Director, Prof. Dr. Atilla Cihaner; and the ARGEDA-TTO staff, as well as all faculty members and students who participated in the program and the participating companies that provided our students with information about their respective sectors through their exhibition stands.
