Atılım University has made another effort to become a sustainable green campus with the implementation of a rainwater harvesting and utilization program.
With this project, rainwater collected through gutters on a rooftop is filtered and stored in an insulated underground tank for use in garden irrigation where necessary.
The project has been initiated on a single rooftop, and we aim to expand it to include other buildings in the future.
The rainwater harvesting project is crucial for water conservation, the protection of natural resources, and raising environmental awareness; representing a significant step toward efficient use and transfer of resources to future generations.
