Course Objectives Networking in the Contemporary Art Industry across the World and Turkey, Expression of Organizational Form, Explaining How Institutions and Organizations Direct the Art with Socio-political Impacts of the Freelance Artists, Showing the Socio-economic Perspective of the Global Organization of Art, Opening up the Horizon for Producing Creative Entrepreneurship Ideas in the Essential Fields, Raising Awareness about the Power of the Communication with Global Investors in the Business World through Art.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • - Acknowledge the term of contemporary art and the role of the artist in production, in the whole range of meaning
  • - Understand the global organization of art and its economic strength
  • - Know that the artworks are considered one of the best investment objects
  • - Learn the role of art historians, curators, art dealers and other participants of the business world for art market beyond artists,
  • - Know the socio-economic impacts of the contemporary art activities in the urban scale and the urban community
  • - Learn the importance of the essential service industry from different fields in the national and international art events and developing entrepreneur ideas.
Course Content The function and global organisation of contemporary art, which are considered as one of the most important investment tools in the world by international institutions, the socio-economic dimension of the events and the relationship between the world of art: collector, sponsor, and entrepreunership.
