  • Identify an engineering design need with multidisciplinary features,
  • Apply engineering knowledge for design, analysis and synthesis to satisfy the multidisciplinary design needs,
  • Illustrate the design via simulation and/or computer implementation,
  • Develop team skills and organization in multidisciplinary domain properly using project management techniques,
  • Make oral/written design presentations
Course Content An overview of systems engineering (V-Model); engineering design process and methodology; needs assessment; project planning; literature review and patent survey; design criteria and constraints; creativity and idea generation; decision making for idea selection; methods and tools of functional decomposition; product/system architecture; modelling and simulation
