9th International and 20th National Nursing Congress Held at Atılım University

The 9th International and 20th National Nursing Congress, organized in collaboration with the Turkish Nurses Association and Atılım University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing, was held at Atılım University on 14–16 May 2026.
Organized under the theme “Creating Health from National to Global: The Power of Nurses,” the congress opened with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Health, members of parliament, and Atılım University administrators. Bringing together academics, clinicians, researchers, students, and healthcare professionals, the congress welcomed a total of 567 academics and nurses.
Addressing current professional issues and scientific research in nursing, the congress program featured 21 panel and conference sessions, along with 303 scientific papers. A total of 61 speakers and 60 session chairs contributed to the scientific program.
The congress also included two courses entitled “Evidence-Based Management of Hard-to-Heal Wounds” and “Nurse Coaching Approaches in Chronic Diseases,” each attended by 28 participants. The “Simulation Games” workshop, which continued throughout the congress, also attracted considerable interest from participants.
The academic staff of our department played an active role in both the organization and the scientific program of the congress. Through their scientific studies, presentations, session chairing, and other contributions, they supported the successful delivery of the event.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the congress organizing committee; all academic and administrative staff members at Atılım University who contributed to the event; our Department of Nursing students, who worked devotedly throughout the congress; all clinical nurses and academics who enriched the congress through their participation and scientific and professional contributions; and the Ares MICE team for their valuable support during the organizational process.
The Congress Proceedings Book, featuring the studies presented during the congress, has been published following this valuable event, which strengthened scientific exchange, promoted professional solidarity, and created opportunities for new collaborations.
