I, as the Chairperson of the Department of Avionics, would like to thank you for taking the first step to aviation. Our department educates avionics maintenance technicians. Avionics is a word derived from English Aviation Electronics. Avionics technicians are expert in repairing and maintaining electrical and electronic systems in both civilian and military airplanes.

Our curriculum consists of 2400 hours covering the module topics in the standards of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation which are required to have avionics B2 license. Our students are trained in English, which is the common language of global aviation. Our students take a great opportunity for their careers by entering into close ties with the aviation sector through internships and especially on-the-job training programs in senior year.

The hangar at Esenboğa Airport will provide you with the opportunity to follow up on the latest technologies of the industry at the center of the aviation sector with practical training throughout your student life.

During your 4-year undergraduate education, you will be in a campus environment which will contribute your social and cultural development as well as your vocational courses.

I will be happy to answer any questions you may have about our department.
