Our ART Team Advances to the TEKNOFEST 2026 Robotaxi Final

Our Atılım Autonomous Racing (ART) team, which carries out its work under the leadership of the Department of Automotive Engineering, has advanced to the final in both the Unique Vehicle and Ready Vehicle categories of the TEKNOFEST 2026 Robotaxi Full-Scale Autonomous Vehicle Competition.

Competing in the Unique Vehicle Category, the Atılım ART team completed the simulation and vehicle test video evaluation stage with a score of 94, earning a place among the finalists. At this stage, our students developed the autonomous driving software of an electric vehicle of their own design in a simulation environment. The vehicle completed mission laps involving stop, parking and moving-obstacle scenarios without any driver intervention. The vehicle's driving systems were also evaluated through a test video recorded on the actual vehicle.

Our ART-S team, competing in the Ready Vehicle Category, likewise passed the same evaluation stage successfully and took its place among the teams advancing to the final. Six of our students from the Ready Vehicle team will attend the Ready Vehicle Training Camp to be held at Gebze Bilişim Vadisi between 22 July and 2 August as guests of TEKNOFEST, where they will test their autonomous driving software on a ready-made vehicle provided to them.
