“2021 TEKNOFEST TÜBİTAK YARIŞMALARI”DA 12. SIRADAYIZ!

The final presentations of the AE432 Capstone Project II course for the Spring 2025–2026 semester were held on June 22, 2026. Five student teams presented projects on SMA actuators, metamaterials, additive manufacturing, hydrogen generation and aerodynamic design, followed by a poster session.

Our department was represented by seven oral presentations at MÜBAK 2026, the fourth Atılım University Engineering Sciences and Researches Student Congress, held on 4–5 June 2026 at the School of Engineering, with work on smart materials, metamaterials, composites, hydrogen and aerodynamics.

Four of the five AE432 Capstone Project II projects from the Spring 2025–2026 semester have been awarded support under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A Research Project Support Programme for Undergraduate Students, with work on SMA actuators, metamaterials, hydrogen generation and aerodynamic design.

This project develops lightweight, reusable energy absorbers for automotive applications using 4D printing and shape-memory polymers. TPMS and auxetic structures are fabricated with PCTG and experimentally evaluated for mechanical and shape-recovery performance.

Organized by the Automotive Engineering Society, students visited the Productivity and Technology Fair under the supervision of Res. Asst. Cemal Emre Hokkaömeroğlu. They explored TOGG, TÜMOSAN, robotics, energy, and AI technologies, gaining technical insight and industry experience.

This seminar introduces PINNs and Neural Operators, highlighting how physics-informed machine learning enhances engineering analysis and enables efficient solutions to complex PDEs.

Technical visit organized to BMC Power Ankara Campus on December 29, 2025 within the scope of AE426 Armored Vehicles course

An undergraduate student presented research at IMEIT 2025 on 4D-printed PLA, demonstrating how printing parameters control thermally induced shape transformation for smart, adaptive engineering applications.
