A technical visit to the National Food Reference Laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry was organized by the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics.

The event titled “The Dream Journey of an Orthodontist,” organized in collaboration with Atılım University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics and Department of Child Development, was held with the valuable participation of Dr. Yalçın Ergir.

Asst. Prof. Dr. İrem Çağla Özel met with the students of Kızılcahamam İbn-i Sina Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School.

Asst. Prof. Özlem Çetiner’s article titled “Development and Validation of the Athlete Food Insecurity Scale (AFIS)” has been accepted for publication in the journal Nutrients.

Research Assistant Eylül Sağun attended the 4th Nutrition and Metabolism Symposium, held on April 2–3, 2026

Research Assistant Dilara Berşan Konyalıgil’s article titled “Malnutrition, diet quality, and psychological well-being in older adults: a hospital outpatient study” has been accepted for publication in the journal BMC Geriatrics.

We successfully held our event titled “Changes in Dietary Habits in Ankara Over the Last Five Years: A Dietitian’s Perspective” with great participation and a pleasant atmosphere.

Our talk titled “The Master’s Degree Process Abroad” was held with the participation of Dietitian Fatih Aydoğan, one of our department’s alumni.

The article titled “Evaluation of food intake, malnutrition, growth and development in children with esophageal atresia: a pilot study from Turkey” by Research Assistant Dilara Berşan Konyalıgil has been accepted for publication in BMC Pediatrics.

Asst. Prof. Tuğçe Nur Balcı participated in the 15th EFAD Congress held in Malmö, Sweden, on October 24–25, 2025.
