Minor Programs
Objective:The aim of the English Economics Minor Program is to provide students from various undergraduate programs with a secondary academic specialization in the field of economics. The program is designed to equip students with the ability to analyze economic phenomena, develop economic reasoning skills, and effectively use economic data in decision-making processes.
The program is offered in two different specializations — Microeconomics and Macroeconomics — depending on students' academic interests. In this way, students are given the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in specific subfields of economics.
Scope:The Economics Minor Program is structured around core economic theories, applied analytical methods, and current economic issues. Within the program, students can choose a specialization based on either a microeconomic or macroeconomic perspective.
The Microeconomics Specialization focuses on the decision-making processes of individuals and firms, helping students understand the economic foundations of such decisions.
The Macroeconomics Specialization, on the other hand, deals with issues such as economic growth, inflation, unemployment, and fiscal and monetary policies at both the national and global levels.
The minor program is implemented in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation on the Principles of Transfer Between Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, Minor, and Credit Transfer Between Institutions in Higher Education Institutions and the Atılım University Directive on Minor Programs.
There are two minor programs offered in the Department of Economics:
