DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE AND ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN

ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING 2026 SUMMER INTERNSHIPS AND INTERNSHIP FILE SUBMISSION

Students who applied for and completed their summer internship must first enroll in the corresponding Moodle course. You are then required to upload your completed internship file to the relevant module on Moodle between September 9 and September 25, 2026 (until 17:00 on Friday, September 25 at the latest).

Your internship report must be prepared strictly according to the "Internship File Preparation Guide" available under the "Internship Information" tab at the bottom of our department webpage (https://www.atilim.edu.tr/tr/ict). Please make sure to include all required sections and headings:

  • Section Contents: Every section heading requires text-based details. Your file will be evaluated on the completeness of all sections.

  • Daily Reports: This is the core part of your report. You must describe the tasks learned and observed on each day of your internship, supported by relevant visual materials. Avoid passing off daily reports with just one or two sentences.

  • Appendices: Extra visual materials, drawings, photos, or project documentation can be added to the end of the report as appendices.

  • Academic Integrity: Any brief background information, technical terms, or corporate details taken from external sources must be cited properly to avoid plagiarism.

  • Please review your report carefully before submission to ensure no sections are missing.

File Format and Submission Guidelines

  1. Single File Requirement: The entire internship report—along with all forms, appendices, and extra documents—must be compiled into a single PDF file.

  2. Naming Convention: Save your PDF using the following naming format: FirstnameLastname_CourseCode_Submission (Example: AliYilmaz_ICM399_Teslim)

  3. Required Forms: Blank forms and the cover page can be downloaded from the "Internship Information" tab on the department website.

    • Company Intern Evaluation Form: Must be completed, wet-signed, and stamped by the supervisor (ensure the supervisor's full name is clearly stated). Scan and append this at the end of the report.

    • Student Internship Evaluation Form: Must be filled out objectively and wet-signed by the student. Scan and append this at the end of the report as well.

Course Registration (UNACS)

  • All students who applied for a summer internship must add the relevant internship course to their course registration for the 2026–2027 Fall Term on UNACS.

  • Important: Even if you did not apply for an internship, were unable to complete it, or will not be submitting a report this term, you must still add the required internship course to your registration draft if it is listed in your curriculum for this semester.

Important Rules & Regulations

  • Submission Deadline: If the internship report is not submitted within the specified period, the internship will be marked as not completed, and the student will receive an "U" (Unsatisfactory/Fail) grade.

  • Plagiarism & Duplicate Reports: Reports submitted by students interning at the same company must remain unique (except for standard company background information). Shared experiences do not mean identical reports. Identical submissions will be treated as plagiarism and graded "U". Furthermore, uncited information copied from the internet will also result in a grade of "U".

  • Content Quality: Do not leave sections brief with one or two sentences; provide detailed explanations supported by labeled visuals.
