About the Department
The Pilotage Department at Atılım University is an undergraduate program established in 2016 under our School of Civil Aviation. We introduce pilots who will work in the civil aviation sector to high technology and train them with superior skills, along with the universal language of aviation, English.
The flight training in our Pilotage Department starts at the PPL(A) (Private Pilot License) level. After completing their solo flights, known as PIC (Pilot in Command), students receive their CPL (Commercial Pilot License) and later the ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License) qualifications. Since 2018, we have been conducting our flight training at Atılım University's Flight School (ATU), located at Adana Şakirpaşa Airport, in our own hangars and with our fleet of 7 Tecnam aircraft.
Our graduates earn the Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL(A)) from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, along with their Bachelor's Degree.
Through our Pilotage undergraduate program, Atılım University provides our students with internationally recognized pilot licenses, advanced English proficiency, an awareness of flight safety and security, and aviation culture. As the Pilotage Department, we train pilots who are academically advanced, possess an analytical mindset, have developed leadership skills, are inclined towards teamwork, and are highly aware of their surroundings, making the right decisions at the right time. If you aspire to become a pilot with these qualities, we invite you to join our department.
