Atılım University Department of Nursing program is completely (100%) in English.
The undergraduate degree program in Nursing normally takes four years (eight semesters) to complete, with a total of 240 ECTS credits. In addition, students registering to the program are required to take preparatory English courses to fulfill the English proficiency condition required at the department.
Students begin clinical practice from the second semester of their first year, following their basic skills laboratory and simulation training. In later semesters, laboratory and simulation sessions are integrated with clinical practice, and supported by innovative learning methods.
Clinical practice sessions take place at various healthcare and education institutions in collaboration with Medicana International Ankara Hospital, Ankara Provincial Directorate of Health, and Ankara Provincial Directorate of National Education.
Yes. Before embarking on clinical practice, students develop basic and advanced nursing skills at our basic skills laboratories and our simulation center.
Yes. Our students have the opportunity to study at partner universities abroad within the scope of our international exchange programs.
Yes. Students may participate in scientific research as part of their research methods and evidence-based practices courses. They may also take part in student projects supported by TÜBİTAK and the university itself.
Our graduates find employment in public and private hospitals, family health centers, community health centers, home care services, occupational health units, education, ministry and research institutions.
Yes. Students may pursue double-major or minor programs in line with the relevant University directives.
Yes. Our graduates may choose to continue graduate and doctorate degree programs to pursue an academic career.
Yes. Our department offers global learning experiences through various international collaborations and exchange programs, primarily the Erasmus+.
No. Nurses may work in hospitals as well as family health centers, community health centers, schools, occupational health units, home care services, research centers, academic institutions, ministries, and various public organizations.
