Aviation has to be always at the leading edge of technology. That is why, most recent technological inventions are first applied in the aviation sector. Undoubtely, the major deficiency of the civil aviation sector is the lack of qualifed and well trained personelle. Since during the last 10 years, the civil aviation market in Turkey is growing at an incredible pace compared to other countries, brought up the question of availability of qualified man power in the sector.

Following the privatization of air transportation in Turkey, the civil aviation market experienced a very rapid growth. Our Civil Aviation school was founded in 2010 to provide the educated and qualifed  man power much needed for the civil aviation sector. At present, our Civil Aviation School have 4 departments: Aircraft Airframe and Power Plant Maintenance, The Avionics Maintenance, Aviation Management, and the school of Pilot Training Departments. We started the education during the 2011-2012 academic year and had our first graduates during 2015-2016 academic year.

Our undergraduate programme is for 4 years and graduate our students with a Bachelor of Science degree. We give strong emphasis on the command of English Language and aim to graduate well educated and qualified technicians for the sector. We  encourage our students to think, create, and design through theoretical courses and practical applications. We have a hangar in Ankara Esenboğa Airport, the Atılım University, Civil Aviation Training Center where our students find the possibility of improving their practical skills through on the job training activities.

Our students are educated in the maintenance, repair, refurbishing and assemblying of various aircraft, either fixed or rotary wing both manned and unmanned. For preparing our students to their professional lives we offer them practical training, internship or on the job training opportunities at different aviation companies.

For our students of Aviation Management, we give them the basic aviation knowledge related to airport and terminal managemet, ground services, flight safety and management including information technologies, human resources, communication systems etc. Our aim is to have graduates with very good command of the English language, who can effectively apply the means of technology and  is open to changes for improving themselves and is flexible that can adopt to present situation, and gives importance to team work.
