LAPL (A) LIGHT AIRCRAFT PILOT LICENSE

PREREQUISITES

MINIMUM AGE:

(A) 17 for aircrafts and helicopters
(B) 16 for gliders and balloons.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

Candidates must be graduate of a high school or equivalent. The Approved Training Organization prerequisites proficiency in Math and Psychics.

HEALTH CONDITION

According to PART-FCL 015, a pilot candidate applying for LAPL (A) must have a minimum of Class II health certificate announced in SHT-MED.A.030(b).

OTHER REQUIREMENTS BY THE AUTHORITY:

Applicants of LAPL (A) must meet SHT-FCL 120, FCL-125, FCL-105.A and FCL.110.A requirements and pass the proficiency exam prepared for their training aircraft or the same type.

 

PPL (A) PRIVATE PILOT LICENSE

PREREQUISITES

MINIMUM AGE:

17 years

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Candidates must be graduate of a high school or equivalent. The Approved Training Organization prerequisites proficiency in Math and Psychics. Candidates must prove their English proficiency as stated in SHT-FCL 055 Annex-1.2.

HEALTH CONDITION

According to SHT-FCL 210.A, a pilot candidate applying for PPL (A) must have a minimum of Class I or II health certificate announced in SHT-MED.A.045.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS BY THE AUTHORITY:

Applicants of PPL (A) must meet SHT-FCL 205.A and 210.A requirements and pass the proficiency exam prepared for their training aircraft or the same type.

 

ATP(A) MODULAR THEORETICAL TRAINING

PREREQUISITES

Age Requirement

Applicants of Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL) must be minimum 21 years old according to the article SHT-FCL.500.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Candidates must be graduate of a high school or equivalent. The Approved Training Organization prerequisites proficiency in Math and Psychics. Candidates must prove their English proficiency as stated in SHT-FCL 055 Annex-1.2.

HEALTH CONDITION

Applicants must have Class I health certificate issued by DGCA or aviation medical centers authorized by DGCA.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS BY THE AUTHORITY:

Pursuant to “SHT-1T Test Directive on Trainee Pilot Selection”, students must take an exam complying with the directive and submit its result before starting modular theoretical training.

 

NR NIGHT FLIGHT

PREREQUISITES

AGE, TRAINING, HEALTH

  • Applicants must have PPL (A) license;
  • Be minimum 18 years old;
  • Be graduate of a high school or equivalent.
  • Have Class I health certificate issued by DGCA.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS BY THE AUTHORITY:

  • Applicants must have PPL (A) license and flight training must include 5-hour night flight 3 of which must be dual flight and 1 of which minimum (50km-27NM) Navigation Flight and 5 single take-off and 5 single full stop landing.
  • Trainees will take compliance monitoring and safety management system trainings within the scope of ground courses.

 

(FI) FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR TRAINING

PREREQUISITES

  • For FI (A) and FI (H):
  • Applicants must take 10-hour instrument flight training in relevant aircraft category; however, maximum 5 hours of the training can be taken in flight simulation training devices.
  • 20-Hour VFR navigation must be completed in relevant aircraft category as pilot in command.
  • For FI (A), applicants must have
  • Minimum CPL (A) or
  • Minimum PPL (A) and
  • Meet CPL theoretical knowledge requirements [for FI (A) giving only LAPL (A) training].
  • Trainees must complete:
    a minimum of 200-hour flight in aircrafts or touring motor glider. Minimum 150 hours of the training must be conducted as pilot in command position;
  • a minimum of 30-hour flight in single piston engined land planes. A minimum of 5 hours must be conducted within the last 6 months before the test specified in the paragraph FCL.930.FI(a);
  • Total 540-Km (300NM) VFR navigation flight as PIC including full stop landing on two different airports.

AGE, TRAINING, HEALTH

  • Applicants must:
    Be minimum 18 years old;
  • Be graduate of a high school or equivalent.
  • Have class I health certificate issued by DGCA, class I health report. (In accordance with ICAO Annex-1/PART-MED/SHT-MED)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS BY THE AUTHORITY:

  1. Trainees must have a license and authority regarding relevant flight training.
  2. Except for Test Flight Instructors;
    1. 1.    Trainees must complete a minimum of 15-hour flight in the category of flight training and 7 hours of this period must be conducted in FSTD representing relevant aircraft category/type;
    2. 2.    Take competence evaluation in relevant instructor category of the relevant aircraft category/type;
  3. Prove the competence of flying as PIC during the training flights in relevant aircraft;
  4. Take 10-hour instrument flight training in relevant aircraft category; however, maximum 5 hours of the training can be taken in flight simulation training devices.
  5. Have CPL (A) or PPL (A) at least;
    1. 1.    Meet theoretical requirements of CPL;
    2. 2.    Complete 200-hour total flight 150 of which must be in PIC position;
  6. complete 5 hours of 30 hour-flight in single engine aircrafts within the last 6 months before the flight test (FCL.930.FI.a);
  7. Have a minimum of 20-hour S/S experience in landing on two different airports as the pilot in command not less than 300 NM in total.
  8. Applicants of FI certificate must take specific acceptance flight test in company with a flight instructor having the qualifications specified in FCL.905.FI.(i) within 6 months before the starting date of the course. Pre-acceptance Flight Test must be based on the competence test regarding Category/Type licenses specified in Annex 1.9 of SHT.FCL.
  9. Trainees will take compliance monitoring and safety management system trainings within the scope of ground courses.
