Measurement and Evaluation Unit
Atılım University Department of Basic English, Measurement and Evaluation Unit aims to ensure that the measurement and evaluation systems used in this department are fair, reliable and valid. For this purpose, it undertakes tasks such as monitoring and evaluating the performance of raters, conducting standardization trainings, and ensuring the validity and reliability of rubrics. It aims to improve the quality of exams through a question bank, item analysis and training. It also monitors and evaluates the overall success of the department by reporting the success graphs of each level every quarter. Finally, it gives the proficiency exam on the dates determined by the academic calendar in September - January - June. The proficiency exam prepared by the Measurement and Evaluation Unit determines whether the student can pursue his/her academic studies at the faculty where he/she will study.
