In this context, it is entering into a much different structure related to health issues. We have begun our awareness training for our students, as well as for the public, for our administrative and academic staff.''

Our dean stated that this seminar was organized due to the breast cancer awareness week and said:

“Breast cancer is a type of cancer that can cause very important problems for our country. Nowadays, it is one of the most common cancers in women all over the world, and unfortunately, one in 8 women may encounter breast cancer at a time of life. It is a type of cancer that can be treated with early diagnosis and treatment and can lead to the saving of one's life. Breast cancer does not only affect the person physically. At the same time, it is a cancer that can affect both psychologically and sexually, because it causes deterioration in the body consciousness of the woman and it can cause negative changes in the psychological state of women and her sexual life. In this context, it is critically important to emphasize the importance of breast examination in the early diagnosis of cancer, since it is a type of cancer that affects women in all respects”

Our dean, who pointed out that women over the age of 50, constitute the riskiest group in terms of breast cancer, continued her interview with:

''When we look at people who constitute the most risky group in terms of breast cancer, they are usually women over the age of 50. In addition, individuals with a family history of breast cancer. In fact, as with any cancer, unwanted habits, smoking and alcohol habits are among the factors that increase the risk of breast cancer. The most important feature of the health departments is that they play a leading role in raising awareness. In particular, we are planning a number of initiatives to increase awareness of each other about breast cancer, to raise awareness of each other and to educate each other. For this, we work in cooperation with all professional organizations and health care organizations working with breast cancer. It is very important for women over the age of 50 to have annual examinations. It's important to know how to self-examine. This is an extremely simple process. Once a month, a breast examination during menstruation period is very critical in saving one's life and preventing breast loss. Healthy nutrition is also a very important factor.
