Laboratories

Instrumentation, Sensors and Metrology Laboratory

The Laboratory is used to support MFGE 312 Statistical Analysis and Instrumentation and MFGE 577 Quality Control and Metrology courses of undergraduate and graduate students of the Department.

It is equipped with 2 data collection device and various measuring devices used in courses and research projects.

Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) Laboratory

The Laboratory is used in the training of the students of the Department, manufacturing of their project outputs and production with CNC benches for master’s and doctoral projects. Manufacturing needs of other engineering departments are met in this Laboratory which is equipped with two CNC benches.

Dissertation Studio

The studio is used for dissertations of department students and Undergraduate Research Projects.

Equipped with a projection and whiteboard, the Laboratory hosts Dissertation I and II courses.

Dissertations of previous years are exhibited and used when necessary.

Manufacturing Technologies Laboratory

The Laboratory is used in the training of the students of the Department, manufacturing of their project outputs and production via benches for master’s and doctoral projects. Manufacturing needs of other engineering departments are met in this laboratory which is equipped with manual benches.

Statics/Dynamics/Strength of Materials Laboratory Machine Elements/Mechanisms Laboratory

These Laboratories are used to deliver applied courses to department students.

The measuring mechanism manufactured as a part of dissertations by students are exhibited in the laboratory along with patterns obtained from the industry.

Laboratory B-2018 is used by Statics/Dynamics/Strength of Materials Laboratory and Machine Elements/Mechanisms Laboratory.
