| Course Objectives | In this course, the relationship between public finance and political science—and the role of this relationship in Turkish politics—will be explored by examining the core topics of public finance (collection of public revenues, execution of public expenditures, financing of deficits, and management of public assets and liabilities) and the instruments of public finance (public expenditures, taxes, and borrowing); the economic, legal, administrative, and political dimensions of public activities will be discussed, and fundamental topics such as the revenues, expenditures, and budgets of central and local governments, as well as political decision-making and voting within the public sector, will be taught. |
