Course Objectives Health Policy and Planning is one of the most important charges of health managers. In this course, students measure demands and define the expectations of patients. Short and long term planning and health policy are the minimum standard of the course. Students are to fix service requirements and to increase service quality in this course. Defining the potential problems in the system and solving these problems are also in the context of this course as well.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • To apprehend the importance of the health policy in public policy.
  • To be able to define the development of the health policy historically and features of every epoch.
  • To know interrelations among service requirements, policy and planning in health.
  • To be able to define the components of health policy and to establish a balance between choices and resources in order to set a moderate policy.
Course Content Development and transformation of health policy historically in public policy process, the health policy, the components and critical issues in the health service planning.
