Course Objectives The objectives of the course are: • to introduce the historical evolution of the EU and the changes experienced in the EU; • to introduce the institutions of the EU; • to familiarize the students with the policies of the EU; • to make an introduction to the EU-Turkey relations
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • to learn EU’s institutions and policies
  • to understand the historical evolution of the EU
  • to understand the changes in the operation of the EU after the ratification of the Lisbon Treaty
  • to have information on EU-Turkey relations
Course Content Introduction to the institutional structure of the EU, the evolving nature of the EU and its institutions, the operation of the institutions and their role in policy-making focusing on specific policies of the EU, EU-Turkey relations focusing on EU policies and the role of institutions on policy-making.
