Course Objectives Teaching the legal regulations to be carried in case of debts such as sources that lead to debt, ending a debt.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Ability of identifying and resolving a problem and decision making with respect to the legal background gained in the course
  • To learn legal notions and types of contracts
  • Ability of effective communication by using legal background gained in the course
  • Consciousness of contemporary legal regulation
Course Content General principles of the law of obligations, especially contracts, formation of contracts, offer and acceptance, capacity to contract, fundamental and non-fundamental error, fraud, threat, gabin, contractual obligations, freedom to contract, limitation of this freedom in the face of public order and mandatory provisions, obligations arising from torts and unjust enrichment.

5 Sources of obligations (obligations arising from torts – legal consequences and effects).
6 Sources of obligations (obligations arising from unjust enrichment – conditions).
7 Sources of obligations (obligations arising from unjust enrichment – legal consequences and effects).

9 Legal consequences of the obligation relationship (performance of obligations)
10 Legal consequences of the obligation relationship (consequences of non-performance – debtor’s default).
11 Legal consequences of the obligation relationship (consequences of non-performance – debtor’s default).
12 Special cases in the obligation relationship (joint liability – condition – earnest money – withdrawal penalty – penalty clause).
13 Changes of parties in obligation relationships (assignment of receivables – assumption of debt – joinder to debt – transfer of contract – joinder to contract – transfer of assets and business – merger and transformation of business entities).
14 Termination of debts and obligation relationships (release – novation – merger).
15 Termination of debts and obligation relationships (impossibility of performance – excessive difficulty of performance – set-off – statute of limitations).
