Course Objectives Discuss spatial change processes in the city and architecture based on social change. To examine the production and organization of space within the socio-economic, socio-cultural, and physical structuring framework.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Students question and discuss the knowledge they gain from reading and reflect it in the academic setting. Students gain the skill of carrying the knowledge that they acquire to different platforms of the field; establish the relationship between the social structure and space on an interdisciplinary scale. Students gain the skill of carrying theoretical knowledge to urban and spatial practice. Students do research on the scale of city and architecture and interpret the yielded results. Students make effectual presentations combining their theoretical knowledge with the subject of study.
Course Content Readings and research at the urban and architectural scales; study on relation between social structure and space as an interdisciplinary issue; theoretical knowledge in connection with research subject.
