Course Objectives To investigate the basic principles of acoustic and wave theory, characteristics of architectural acoustics, noise, hearing and properties, interior and exterior acoustics, behavior of materials against noise, sound production control principles.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  •  Learn basic acoustic principles and wave theory.
  •  The room's room acoustics, outdoor acoustics, such as the making of konularda.
  •  Researches hearing and hearing organs.
  •  Takes technical precautions to be taken during the phases of architecture, design, construction, application and use.
  •  Investigates the behavior of materials in noise and noise control.
Course Content Control of sound and sound reflection (echo) in interior space; evaluation of the positive and negative impacts related to acoustics in architectural design; technical precautions needed to be taken in design and during use.

9 Sound propagation rules; noises, Reverberation Time, resonating times, indoor noises, outdoor noises.
10 Sound propagation rules; The effects and behaviors of materials in acoustic control. Individual material properties, composite materials. Rules for the application of acoustic materials.
11 Reverberation time; effects of resonance periods in different spaces, material analysis, homework. Presentation and Discussion
12 Discussion of research topic.
13 Recognition of acoustic measuring instrument, field work. Presentation and Discussion
14 Comparative study of fieldwork and calculation methods. Presentation and Discussion
