Course Objectives The aim of this course is to give information about the ways of accessing researches related to physiotherapy and rehabilitation (databases, etc.), the content (introduction, method, findings, results, discussion and recommendations) and formal features (referencing and spelling rules) of the researches, to teach the stages of planning and conducting clinical researches and analysing and reporting the results.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Applies the processes of identifying a research topic, conducting a literature review, planning a study, analyzing the study results, and reporting the findings.
  • Accesses scientific research in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation through national and international databases.
  • Analyzes and interprets the introduction, methods, results, discussion, and conclusion sections of scientific articles.
  • Evaluates the scientific and structural characteristics of research articles and applies citation and referencing systems in accordance with academic writing standards.
  • Applies the fundamental principles of planning and conducting clinical research and organizes and presents research findings in a scientific report format.
Course Content Determining the research topic, scanning the literature, planning the study, analysis and reporting of the study results.
